Easter Bunny layout

Hello!
I hope you're enjoying some nice sunshine and spring weather.
We've been getting outside more lately, going to soccer games, track meets and working in the yard. I'm ready to start doing some hikes and softball and baseball will start soon. Can't wait!

Today I have a fun Easter layout to share with you.
My chipboard, acrylic eggs and cute bunny flair button are all from Creative Embellishments.

I used gel crayons from Vicki Boutin to decorate my layout and my chipboard.
I had fun playing with a paint brush and water also.
I haven't done much of that yet but I really like the look of it, so I'm guessing there is a lot more in my future.

This little bunny flair button from the March flair set was perfect for pairing with my title piece. My title piece was done with the purple gel crayon and then I used the water to give it a more even look. The chipboard tends to soak in a lot so you might have to add more crayon or put it on really heavy to start with.

I'm not going to lie, the idea of coloring on this cute Easter bunny was intimidating but I like the way she turned out and I love the trail of eggs she left in her wake.

This was the part that got my 12 year olds attention so I know it turned out good. lol He loved the colorful egg most and told me how good the colors looked together and then about all of his favorite color combos.

Have fun turning your spring memories into pages!

You & me spring layout

Hey everyone!
I've got a fun layout using Creative Embellishment products today.
Let's jump right in.

I created this layout using some fun chipboard pieces and gel crayons that I just picked up.
So I was doing a bit of playing and learning.

I used orange and yellow crayons to make the flower cluster and dark blue and purple for the scroll. The birds were extra fun because I was layering the colors to see if I could get a more realistic look and I think they turned out pretty good.

On the first bird I used orange for the belly, light blue on the main body and one line of purple along the top. On this bird I a bit of yellow that blended with the light blue on the main body. I like the look it gave it. Then I finished with dark blue along the top. On both birds I used yellow for the feet.

Thanks for stopping by today!

My life layout

Hello!
If I'm getting the weather I'm hoping for I may be outside in the sun today, soaking it all up.
I hope you're having a good weekend too.

Today I'm sharing the layout I made based on this sketch from Scrap Our Stash.

Some more photos from our spring break trip a few years ago and some more goofing off.
I love it!

As you can see I used both star patterned paper and star embellishments. I really liked the design of this sketch and found it really easy to work with.
I added a bit of ink to the 'my everyday' word cut out, the 'my life' wood veneer frame, the heart in the wood veneer 'Love' bubble frame and the single wood heart.

I finished up with the hand stitching and journaling.

Thanks for stopping!

Run! layout

 Hello again!
Today I'm sharing another layout created with Creative Embellishment goodies!

This was a trip to a nearby dinosaur museum a few years ago.
I'm not sure I have a serious photo from this trip but it was so much fun!

I started out picking the dinosaur from the chipboard pack that I wanted to go with my layout and then I used some ink to edge them with a bit of definition.

Then I went with my title and had fun letting the pterodactyl take off with one of the letter.
Last I added some cool wood veneer stars. The picture in the store does not do them justice. I love the dimension you get because they're so thick!

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Hi honey layout

We just got back from spring break.
We were able to travel a little and had a great time enjoying some spring training baseball, sun and swimming. I hope you're enjoying some spring time fun as well.

Today I'm sharing a layout based on this awesome sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

This sketch allows for easy change of number of photos when you cluster them together, so I'm sure I'll use this sketch again. But this time I found the perfect photo so I've stuck really close to the sketch.

I had this fun photo of my daughter playing around and posing for me. It went so well with the bright papers and embellishments.
This layout was a breeze to put together and just so fun.

Thanks!

Fun Friends layout

 Hello, hello!
I am so excited for spring and some warmer weather. I hope you are enjoying some better weather too.

Today I have a layout based on this challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

Here's my layout using the diagonal line including striped pp, butterfly and 2 photos:

I picked out a couple fun photos and went from there. Layering the patterned papers, adding the banners and title came next. Then for my favorite part; embellishing!

Thanks for coming by today!
