A few cards

I have a few cards to share with you today.
First I have this sweet Special Delivery card for those fun little new additions:

I used this adorable line from Moxxie; Wee Ones. It's the cutest baby line!

I started with 6x12 base of Splish Splash and folded it in half, then I used a new punch I got on the bottom corners and did a bit of inking. Using the backside of this die-cut that I popped up with foam adhesive, I added these cute cardstock stickers for my sentiment. Then I finished off with a couple of triangles on the edge and outlined them with a black pen.

You can find this adorable line at Scrapbook.com or ACOT stores online or ask for it at your local scrapbook store.

Next up I have these 2 pretty cards using Wanderlust by Studio Calico:

Size 8.5x5.5 I started with white cs and played with some gelatos that I just picked up. Fun!

I used orange on the outer edge, then yellow just inside of that and blended them using a paper towel until I liked the way it looked. I edge punched the pretty pattern paper so the gorgeous gelatos color could show through. I grabbed my stash and added a rub-on, washi, sentiment and some 3d flower embellishments to finish it off.

Using the same supplies I fussy cut the gorgeous flowers out of the Studio Calico paper to add to this next card:

Size 4.5x5.5 First I used the same border punch on the front bottom flap. Then I got brave and layered red, orange, yellow and pink gelatos and blended. I really like it! I used the Studio Calico flowers after crinkling them up a bit, so the edges would stand out more. Then added my sentiment from my stash.

This Studio Calico paper can be found in the Speedy Scrappers store!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have time to get crafty this weekend!

Brothers

Did you see my layout up on the Speedy Scrappers blog Friday? Well, if not, here is it again.
This super cute page of my sons being silly together.

Do you have those moments when you know you want to scrap but you just don't know where to start? Me, too. Which is when I hit my favorite sketch sites. My all time fav is Nuts About Sketches, which is where the inspiration for this layout came from. It was actually a sketch for a big 8x10 photo, but I just threw my 3 photos in that space and put the elements in and around where I thought they looked good. I used this sweet "everyday" paper from the Studio Calico Wanderlust line and another of those adhesive strips from Crate Paper. This one was originally twice as wide as what you see here and only 12inches long. But I cut it in half lengthwise and then was able to layer it around my photos.

I just had fun layering random elements from my stash. Oh and that date stamp? I accidentally stamped it upside down, then colored over it with a white pen. It worked better than white out would in my opinion. lol

You can find the Studio Calico Wanderlust line and this fun adhesive strip sheet from Crate Paper in the Speedy Scrappers store. Come show us your creations on the facebook page!
Happy Scrapping!

Guest Designer

Hi! I have some bright and cheery for you today.
I was able to guest design at Memorable Seasons last month and just wanted to post here the fun layouts that I made using the kit they sent me from Echo Park called Splendid Sunshine.

My first challenge was to Spruce up those Stickers. I love cs stickers in kits. They are fun and easy to use, but with a little bit of creativity you have more than just a sticker. Here I added stickles, doodles, toothpicks to turn banners into flags, pearls and then I cut them up when needed. For instance this pink heart was originally a watering can. I cut the heart right out of the center so I can still use the can in the future if I want to.

My 2nd challenge was to Journal around it. Here I chose to do my journaling around the entire layout. But you could also go around a photo or decorative element.
I'm linking this project to Paper Issues.

My last challenge was to Scrap some kind of achievement. So I scrapped about my daughter's hard work in dance. So proud of my sweet, hard working girl!

Lastly they always pick one special member to lift each month and for April it was Judy. I chose the layout you can find here and did this layout of my son hanging in a blanket hammock from the swing set in our backyard. He tried telling us he didn't fall asleep. lol

You can see the products here. I was originally going to be sent 1 of each pattern paper and half of each sticker sheet but paid the extra to get the full sheet of both and then bought a few extra pattern papers as well.

The first 3 layouts use sketch from My Scraps & More.
Thanks for stopping by!

For you card w/ Kaisercraft

 Hello!
Today I'm working with Kaisercraft's The Looking Glass line that I received from Speedy Scrappers.
I have this fun card that I gave to my mother for Mother's day.

I started with a 6x12 cream cardstock base and really inked it up. I have a nice cappucino color from SEI that I went around the edges with but took it deep into the middle. Then I edged with the color bark. I really like the look.

I wanted to use the large floral sticker on this card. So I cut it down to fit the size I wanted and added it over this scallop border sticker that I also cut to fit my needs. Then I added some liquid pearls and glossy accents.

The upper corner felt a little bare so I added a couple banners and this pretty butterfly sticker. I really love the butterflies! This blue banner is the only piece on the card from the kit that is not a sticker. I just snipped it off of a leftover piece of pp from an earlier layout.

Look for this line in the Speedy Scrappers store and more inspiration on the facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by!

Those Eyes w/ Moxxie

Hi! I hope you all had a great weekend! We spent a majority of our weekend at softball and soccer games. The weather was nice and sunny! I loved every bit of it.

Since I've been craving a bit of warmth lately, I pulled out some summer photos and warmer lines to go with them. This Chillin' Out line was perfect for this cute photo I took of my son a couple summers ago when I was taking a photography class.

Thanks for stopping by!

Game

Hello! Today I wanted to share a little bit of what we spend our spring doing. Softball!
I'm a huge softball fan. Have been forever and I think I always will be. I have a special layout because it's about my daughter. I LOVE watching her play.

These papers are from the Studio Calico Wanderlust stack that you can find in the Speedy Scrapper's store. I used a sketch from here and just kept it simple. I edged my pattern paper piece and the entire layout with a charcoal ink. This is one of my favorite softball quotes so I did a big title but made Game stand out. The stitching is done with pen and the chevron "arrows" are cut from washi tape. Oh I also outlined my photos and the green alphas with a black pen to make them pop more.

Thanks for stopping by!
Speedy Scrappers is also on facebook.
Come show us your creations!
