Baby Animals w/ Moxxie

Down on the Farm is one of my favorite Moxxie lines from this latest release. I love the vibrant colors and who doesn't have some photos that go with this line?
My most recent layout is about our trip to Baby Animal days at a nearby ranch. Our kids had a blast at this fun event!

I wanted it to have a real farm feel so I started with a brown background and rubbed it with some mist ink that I put on a paper towel. Then I used the awesome papers from the line to accent my background and build blocks to show off my photos, title and journaling. I also cut this Farm Fresh accent out of the journaling cards sheet. It was perfect for this baby animal moment!

This close up of the main photo shows you the stitching, stamping and fun embellishing.

Part of my title is using the awesome brown Moxxie rub-ons.

I used the Journal card sheet and cut out this wonderful roped journaling spot to really draw the eye to my journaling. This layout was based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers.

Happy Scrapping!

Team treat w/ Moxxie

 It's here!
Spring is here (sort of) and softball season has arrived! My daughter's first game was this past Wednesday, so we are off and running. Literally.
I wanted to make a little something to go on a treat for the team. You know, a little something to start the season off right. So here's what I put together for them.

Seeds, of course! What else starts the season off right?
I needed something quick and easy. This totally fit the bill. Here's a closeup:

I picked out the Moxxie Girls Rule paper from the Softball line because it has this wonderful yellow color and the repeated "softball". I thought it would make the perfect ball. I used my Silhouette to cut it and also the red cardstock that I used for backing. Then I added the Play Ball! to represent the start of the season. I inked the papers in blue because that's our main school color and also outlined the play ball in blue to help it stand out a bit more.
Just a little something small and fun.

Yay, for spring, softball and seeds!
I'll be off watching some softball and spittin' some seeds.

Little Lady w/ MME

It's so close now I can almost smell the new paper!
I am so excited for The Original Scrapbook USA expo in Sandy, UT! I want to pack already. lol But since it's a bit early for that I played with some new paper instead.

Check out this pretty paper from My Mind's Eye! It's Now & Then Mildred, Girls. I wanted to try my hand at one of those cut backgrounds, so I did this on my silhouette. I also cut the wording that way. I just did the design myself. Here are some closeups:

I wanted the the feel of this layout to be sweet and soft, which is the feel I get from the photo. So I loved the light pinks and soft blue in the paper underneath and I went with stitching and soft embellies. I didn't want a lot of journaling, so I just put the important details on a heart and outlined it with a glittery pink gel pen.

I had this fun rhinestone butterfly in my stash and thought it would be a great addition. Then added the twine for a flight path. I always love to see a flight path for butterflies, just makes me smile. I double matted my photo, well maybe triple if you count the white edge it came with, in pink and then just a small edge of black to really drawn the eye.

In this last closeup you can see the stitching I did. I also outlined each heart with the glittery pink pen. The enamels, buttons and little lady sticker are all from MME also.
Make sure you swing by their booth at the Expo and get some of these yummy products for yourself!
See you there! :)Ange

Lucky me w/ Moxxie

 Do you feel lucky?
I sure do! The sun is shining, the grass is starting to have a hint of green in it and I have the best kids! (no really, I do!).  Last year we went on a fun trip to the zoo over spring break and I captured these adorable photos of my kiddos being their fun, entertaining selves.

Since I was feeling lucky to have these adorably hilarious photos, I decided to use the St. Patrick's Day line from Moxxie. First I misted my base page, then I cut strips from different patterns, put notches in them, inked the edges and added them to my layout. I followed this sketch that's part of the Let's Get Sketchy blog hop.

I added a title of clear letters to go along with a challenge from Memorable Seasons. Great way to get them out of my stash and on a page! I used staples to attach them and layered some of the awesome rub-ons under them. Here you can see that I sanded the edges of my main photo just a bit and then inked it. One of my favorite techniques.

I also put one of the cool border rub-ons along the top, layered more papers for my little banner area and finished up with more stickers, rub-ons and bling.

Hope you're feeling a little lucky this month!

Daughter w/ MME

 Hello!
Are you getting excited about attending the Original Scrapbook USA Expo? I AM!! I can't wait. There's nothing better than good friends, fun times and GREAT shopping!! Speaking of shopping, My Mind's Eye is going to be there and I just happen to have a pretty cool layout here using their Cut and Paste line.

I had so much fun making this layout. I started out getting messy (really you should see my fingers lol) and then layered the patterns from Cut & Paste using a sketch from My Scraps & More sketches blog.

These layered stickers are really cool and fun. I went with the heart theme and added more in wood veneers, rounded all my corners and did a lot of inking.

Added a bit of bling

and finished up with this date label and ink around the entire layout.

I'm ready to go to the Expo and do some scrappy shopping! How about you?
:)Ange

MS&M - sketch #69

Lucky in Love w/ Moxxie

Check out the *HOT* layout I have for you today!

This handsome man is my husband! (yep, I'm pretty lucky!) He was trying on some different outfits for a harlem shake video a bunch of his friends were putting together. This is not the outfit he went with but I did manage to get a picture or two before he changed. Honestly I didn't think he would ever let me use this photo, but I've got some pretty awesome persuasive skills. ;)

I had a ton of fun putting this layout together with all these fun Moxxie St. Patrick's Day papers! I started with sketch 67 from MS&M, made my own clover stencil out of paper scraps and used it while misting my layout background. It ended up looking so nice with all the mist on it that I included it on the layout!

Add a little bling, this fun rub-on from the Moxxie Valentine line and some doodling and you wouldn't even know I only made it for stenciling.

For my title area I layered and stacked different stickers and rub-ons from the awesome St. Patrick's Day line. Easy and fun!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Today

I have a fun layout today of my little guy taking a quick rest on a busy Saturday in May last year. I used the Feb. kit from Scraptastic club and a sketch from MS&M. Here's my layout:

I used orange dylusions to mist the wood veneer behind my top photo and did a lot of orange inking.

I had fun making my little cluster of elements go off the top of my page using mostly SS products from the Daily Grind line. I love to leave things hanging off the edge, it just adds a fun element.

I put my title strips down with a bit of glue and staples to let them pop. The Daily Grind chipboard piece was a word bubble that I trimmed the tail off of to have the oval shape instead and then added the star die-cut.
Thanks for stopping by!
