NAS reveal day!

What to do with all those papers the kids bring home??? Seriously, there's way too many to keep, but my kids feel bad when I just take one look and toss them. So I started hanging some of them in the windows and only saving certain ones. But with 3 kids in school even that gets to be too much. So, I took a picture of my son's stories and scrapbooked the photos! Small and saved for enjoyment, perfect! I used my TSS April kit again with the Bo Bunny Ad Lib. Such a fun kit!

This sketch was super fun to use and there's lots of different takes on it at the NAS blog for you to check out.

DON'T forget about the BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! Details here. Starts this Sat., I can't wait!

You color my world

Here's Shylee on a nice spring day coloring the sidewalk beautiful, bright colors. So of course I had to find some bright papers to go with it, Echo Park's Sweet Summertime line. I used a sketch from What's Scrapping and a challenge to "bring in the sun" from a new blog I recently found, Scrap Our Stash. I also used this lo for a great game we play over on the TSS board called Layout tag. Go check it out, very fun game and it definitely keeps you scrapping!

Thanks for stopping. :)

Camping

Here I've got another lo doing double duty for me. I used today's What's Scrapping ad inspiration for the colors and theme (I don't know about you but those things on the bottom left look like marshmallows to me. I even see a little fire in that ad) and a sketch from Sweet Peach Crop Shop.

I used Bella Blvd Camped Out line and did a little fussy cutting here and there. Also with the alphas I used a w for the m and a v for the n. I thought it was cute that they kind of look like tents.
Now, go check out these sites because both are giving away fun stuff if you go play along!
Thanks for coming by!

What's Scrapping has an NAS sketch!

I just totally loved working with Shawn's (from Nuts About Sketches) sketch this week. I know I'm going to use it again it's so cool! Here's my lo:

This is more Bo Bunny Ad Lib from my TSS April kit. Just love this line, it's so fun! I used a red Uni-ball Gel Impact pen from the kit to spice up the yellow Thickers, can you say awesome? Love the way this thing writes. And I broke out my Glimmer mists, which I don't do often, so very fun playing with this lo. This is my youngest monster (again) sitting in one of his fav spots grooving to the music.

And the sketch:

Now go check out the rest of the dt examples at What's Scrapping! :)

Precious

This is my baby boy getting all messy with yogurt!

I used some old CTMH paper for this lo and combined 3 challenges. I used the ad inspiration from What's Scrapping (loved the browns and the heart element!), the sketch #2 from Sweet Peach Crop Shop and the messy, messy prompt from Scrap That Baby. What else can I say? Raising kids is messy, I've got to have my fun somehow. :)

Thanks for swinging by!

What's Scrapping

Ok, I've been a bit of a slacker posting this week. But in my defense it is spring break for my kiddos and some of them have been sick. Now that you know my excuses, let's get down to business.

Posted just today is Amy's super cute sketch:

And my take on it:

Honestly I was a little overwhelmed with the big flower design on the left, but had a lot of fun putting it together and it was super easy, so just go for it. I used mostly Bo Bunny Flutterby collection for this lo with my cutie lil boy.

Thursday's Ad inspiration by Michelle:

And I came up with this lo, combining it with a challenge posted at BOAF who had an awesome crop this past weekend. You should watch for the next one because their crops are SUPER fun and I've really enjoyed the challenges they post.

I used the super cute April kit from TSS. I LOVE this kit, it's so bright and fun! Just what a scrapper needs to play with when it's supposed to be spring, but still snowing outside. They might still have one or 2 left, so if you want one you better hurry!

And then there was Dalis' card sketch challenge:

I'm not much of a card maker, but I put a few together for the awesome cause that Anna Mills posted the previous Friday.

Here's some of the details and a link to the website if you want to donate your cards or envelopes to them:

Pam, the creator and keeper of the blog, receives handmade cards and mails them out to deployed units so the soldiers can send messages to their loved ones back home. What a wonderful way for the scrappy community to show support for armed service members!

Cards should be A2 size (4.25x5.5) in order to fit the provided envelopes and should be left blank inside (feel free to post a msg to a soldier on a self-stick note, though - they love the encouragement!). General occasion cards are always accepted and specific occasion cards are organized in 'Rounds' with mailing deadlines. The current campaign is Round 5 (mail by May 8th) and includes Mothers Day, Fathers Day, and Independence Day.

And a couple more card examples:

So all of this fun stuff can be found at What's Scrapping, go check it out.
Thanks for stopping by!!

NAS reveal day!

Another wonderful sketch by Shawn

She does awesome 2 pagers! But since I'm more of a one page scrapper, I'll often pick the side that goes best with my photos. This time I really wanted to do both sides, but didn't have time before the reveal to get both done. The one I did get done was the left side. I used these photos of my daughter's wax museum that they did at school.

And as you can see I added some of my daughter's original art work to the page. She did an awesome job and had tons of fun.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the dt reveal here.
