Chocolate w/ Moxxie

I have these cute photos of my son with his chocolate bunny, so I picked out the adorable Spring Has Sprung line from Moxxie. I love it because it makes me think of chocolate. :)

This little guy is a total chocoholic. It's so funny and cute!

This line doesn't exactly scream boy, but this just shows you that you can do whatever makes you happy. I "dirtied" my background with brown mist splatter and inked all my paper edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. These chevrons were a border sticker that I cut apart and then adhered with foam dots to pop them off the page.

One of my favorite things to do to my photos is sand the edges a bit. Gives it a really cool look and here I added ink around the edges too. I also popped my photos off the page.

I used different alphas and the large & sign to have a bold title. (great way to use up alphas too!) Chocolate is Moxxie's brown rub-on alpha, I outlined them with a brown marker to help them stand out more.

You can see more fun designs from Moxxie  on their facebook page and they have a Design Team call, going on right now! This layout is based on a sketch from My Scraps & More.

1st Buds w/ Moxxie

Here's the full layout from the sneak peek the other day using Moxxie's new Easter-rific line:

This is my son with my nephew doing their first egg hunt together. They were so excited and had fun running for all the eggs and treats. It was awesome that they stayed close to each other long enough for me to snap a couple pics!

Do you see those left over stars on the sticker sheet? After you take the green circle border and use it you're left with these little pieces. Well, I like putting them to work:

You can see that I added them here, then I added a bit of stickle dots around them.  I also had fun using the border stickers on this layout. I used the cute chick one down the right side and portions of the green w/ purple polka-dots here and there.

The journal card that had the Happy Easter also had 4 little bunnies on it. I fussy cut them and used 3 on previous project, leaving me with the Happy Easter I left hanging off the top and then I took the last one and added him here for a bit of surprise fun. I cut out 2 eggs from the blue Egg Hunt pattern and a few from other prints, gave them a little pen work and added them to the page here and there.

My title is kind of fun because of the changes I made to make the stickers fit my needs. The purple sticker says "for Peep's sake". I tucked the end under the photo and put some small alphas over the "for" so it read what I wanted. Also, buds is from the Chillin' Out sticker sheet. It originally said "Buddies" and had a row of dots beneath it. I cut out the letters and put them together for my title.

I used a sketch from My Scraps & More for this layout.

more Chocolate plz!

 Hello!
Today I have this super fun collection that I got from the Speedy Scrappers!

Little Boy Blue by Crate Paper
This is the layout I made with it:

My cute little guy has one serious sweet tooth. These photos were taken after I caught him sucking on the chocolate syrup from the fridge, little stinker. But he was so cute, signing "more" and asking please with that cheesy little grin!

This set comes with a lot of patterns, 2 6x12 sticker sheets and 1 12x12 die-cut sheet, so I had a lot to work with. I cut and layered a couple of patterns under the photos and then added some strips of these adorable little ducks along the top and bottom of the layout.

I'm big on inking, so I did that with a nice bold blue to really bring out the edges, then layered more die-cuts and stickers under the photo edges and along pp borders and added a bit of pen stitching to a couple to make them pop. I happen to have this fun red Crate Paper alpha in my stash, so I used it for a large title and added the other words in smaller fonts.

I added a bit of stitching with blue twine to soften the hard lines a bit and go along with the twine I was adding to my journaling tag.

The journaling is tucked behind the middle photo, but it's on the back of this cute little card. Since my journaling was hidden I decided to add some words to the photos, so you get a gist of what's happening before you pull it out to read. Here's another look at the layout:

Based on a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.
Have fun scrapping!

Adventure >> This way!!

  Hello!
I'm so excited to be on the Speedy Scrappers design team! Today I want to show you my first project made with products they sent me.

This layout is about my 3yr old son "reading" the map at the zoo last spring and this paper from Studio Calico Wanderlust was perfect for it! I started with this fun paper that reminded me of a map as my background and then tore two of the other prints to layer over it for the base beneath my photos.

Those strips you see going behind my photo are from an adhesive sheet! Made by Crate Paper, it's an entire sheet of strips that you just cut up, peel and stick! So fun, I'm excited to use more.

As you can see I just had a bunch of fun layering, tearing and adding this and that from my stash too. I used markers and inks on my wood veneer, they color up really easy, and then added some fun washi tape to the corners of my photos.
Lastly I inked my edges with a charcoal and then ran a dark brown pad around it too. I love the 'finished' look it gives a layout.

Thanks for stopping by today! You can find us on facebook too.
See you next week.
