Ecstatic layout

Hello!

I'm back this week with another fantastic layout using the awesome Creative Embellishments wood veneers!

These pictures of my little man just brimming with excitement for his dad's birthday were just too tempting. I'll get to the other birthday photos eventually...

Look at that face!
How can you resist, right?

So I started with the title. Knowing I would need something bold I looked for my red thickers. Of course none of them had the letters I needed so I improvised. The E is a 3 and both c's are q's that I cut the long side off of.

Then I started working with my wood veneers from Creative Embellishments!
So easy to color with markers or you can just leave them because they're awesome naked too!!
When you need to check a color just flip the piece over and make a little mark on the back. Super easy and they look so good.

I did the same with my balloon groupings and then taped some twine to the back of each piece and tied the strings together in the front with another piece of twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Happy Married Life layout

Here is the piece that inspired my Shovel It layout!

When I saw this Happy Married Life chipboard in the Creative Embellishments store I knew I had to have it!

Awesome right?
And you know you're doing something right when all 4 kids collectively groan!

I had so much fun with this layout.

I used a sketch from Paper Issues to get me started on my background. Then I added the big paper hearts to help highlight my title piece after decorating it with a chalk marker and black pen.

From there I had tons of fun adding embellishments until my creative side was satisfied.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today I have another sketch challenge, from Scrap our Stash this time. Plus the added challenge of using 5+ patterned papers on your layout.

Here's my layout:

I love these goofy kids of mine and I love these photos. This was an easy one to put together. Lots of color, patterned papers and fun embellies.

Shovel it layout

Hi! I'm super excited to share my layout today.
This is a fun one.

I was looking for some photos of my husband and I to go with a title piece I had from Creative Embellishments. I did not end up using the piece on this layout as it went with some other photos better, but it inspired this layout.
And I love my title, pun intended.

This came together perfectly.
I used the big alpha stickers from the paper line I was using, but the smaller alphas are from a Halloween line.
My favorite part of this, besides the title, is the red pop the acrylic hearts give the layout.
I layered them over chipboard snowflakes. They are all from Creative Embellishments.
I'm totally getting all the acrylic I can after this.
LOVE THEM!

I used a chalk marker on the Icicle chipboard. I love the look of it after it soaks into the chipboard a little. I did try a chalk marker that goes on a bit like a crayon and did not like that look as well.
Then I finished my layout off with the heart love flair in the center of my snowflake, it's also from Creative Embellishments.
I used a sketch from Paper Issues.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cookies layout

 Hey there!

Today I have a layout to share based on this sketch from designer Shawn Lahr of Sketches In Thyme.

This is a great sketch.
It's perfect for lots of different kinds of photos and even numbers of photos. Plus you have tons of room left for decorating below and above while still having your photos be the center of attention.

I am a serious supporter of my kids doing any kind of cooking/baking almost whenever they want. Just not when they should be sleeping, doing chores or homework.
Plus, I love eating anything someone else makes.

Bring on the Show layout

 Hello!

Today I'm sharing a challenge layout from Scrap Our Stash.
The challenge was to creat a layout with 3 or more alphas.

I think, in total, I ended up using 4 different alphas on this page.
These photos are from when my older daughter used a box to create a stage or tv for her and her little brother to put on a paper puppet play for us.

They had so much fun spending the time together!
