Guest DT spot & a giveaway

Ornery

No, not my kid! No way!!





It's the curse of the 4th kid I think. Aren't all fourths just rotten to the bone? I know my younger brother is, just saying...

This day we were at the ball park, again. And after spending many, many, many games running around keep Jayse out of trouble and not watching my other kids playing, we decided to try and keep him in the stands. As you can see, it did not go well. In these photos Jayse is trying to get away from his grandpa. I think he finally succeeded and we just took turns following him around again.

For this layout, I used this sketch from Nuts About Sketches:

I turned it to the right and made the 5x7 two smaller photos. This paper from Fancy Pants Rough and Tough line has a lot of fun pre-printed things on it, so I didn't have to do a lot of embellishing. I used glitter chipboard Thickers for the title, stickles for the dots, added scraps of paper here and there for extra fun, fussy cut the cloud and bolt below the title and a stapled a couple of Heidi Swapp ghost stars. I also stapled some folded ribbon along the edge, added some of the dots and * from the Thicker sheet and doodled a little myself for fun.

@ the Table

We've got a new sketch for you at Nuts About Sketches. It's a 2 page sketch but I just used the right side and rotated it to fit my pictures. Here's my lo:








Pics are of Jayse sitting at the table on the big chair. He was loving it. And then we did the evil, unspeakable and gave him a Salt & Vinegar chip. :) He was a bit shocked.
I used an old kit from TSS here with mostly GCD studio products. I used a scallop border punch to trace the "bite" marks on the border pieces and then cut them out, inked the bite marks with a black marker and the paper edges with a purply-red color. Added a few embellies, traced around the title to help it pop and we're done. :)

Shark Attack!

Or lack there of, which was the disappointment of our trip.
But at least it resulted in some goofy photos on shore in the cage we found.

This is based on today's NAS sketch and it is SO easy and fun to use. The dt all came up with awesome lo's based on this sketch. The fun part is they all look so different from each other. So don't forget to check them out, here.
I used the TSS June kit for this lo and added some recollections 3D stickers. I cut one of the filter papers up to look like "bite" marks and used the space for my title. I did not have another 'h' in lower case for the word shark, so I cut a k down for it. I inked my edges and added my journaling through the wave in the pp. Other than that all I had to do was unbend all the shark photos my one year old kept running off with. :)

I've got another NAS sketch for you! Here's the sketch:







Great sketch, don't you think? So many possibilities. I picked a few garden shot pictures from our trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii.


I cut the flowered paper for my borders and fussy cut a few flowers out for decoration, added some vaca ribbon for a border at the top. At first I wasn't sure what to do with the filters in the kit (TSS June), but I've had quite a bit of fun with them. I cut this one in half and sprayed them each with a different color of Glimmer Mist; Meadow Green and Juneberry Wine. I was planning to just use the green but I put the wrong kind of glue under it (don't use liquid with these suckers it shows through), which is why I added the purple half over the top. But I sure like the layers. :) Then I added some stickles around the edge to give the title a little more punch.
For the dot border at the bottom, I cut the swirls out of pp (saw Julie Walton do that with her dt kit and loved it) pop-dotted some and alternated them with dew drops. Then added some journaling with a white pen (love that!), some other pre-made embellies, and inked my paper edges.
