First I want to show you the fabulous 2 page sketch Shawn made for today:
I chose to use one side of the sketch this week.
This layout is from my son's 8th birthday. Of course they spent some time playing the Wii right? What boys don't want to play video games? Brayden is a bit of a video game freak so I wasn't surprised. However I was surprised when he shot me this "I'm way too cool" look for one of the photos. It's so out of character for him, I'm still laughing about it!
Most of the products on this page came from an old kit I had hanging around still. I believe most of the products are Prima Marketing. It felt great to use up some of my stash and these epoxies were just fun.
For my darker strip behind the bottom photo, instead of using different pp I misted it a darker green and then added some rub-ons. I also added red stickles around the title to help it pop and into the center of a star, added string to the cb buttons and added the rub-on word 'cool' to my journaling.
As always there are a lot more examples of this awesome sketch up on the Nuts About Sketches website, so don't forget to check them out.
Now, on to the good part. I happen to come upon a 2nd set of Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas papers. (includes 12- 12x12 double sided papers, 1 element sticker sheet & 1 alpha sticker sheet) I've really enjoyed using my set on my pages, but thought rather than keep all the goodness to myself I would give away this set to one of my lucky readers.
SO, all you have to do is make sure you are a follower of my blog (the blue 'join this site' button to the right), then leave me a comment here on this post. Post about this giveaway on your blog or fb page and leave me a link in the comments section and I'll throw your name in the hat again.
But you need to hurry, I'm planning to close the contest Sun. Feb. 12 at midnight MST, so I can announce the winner with Monday's NAS post. Hurry! These papers are the bomb, you'll love them!!
