Family w/ NAS & Bella Blvd

I can't believe this is my last layout with Nuts About Sketches!
I've been on Shawn's team numerous times over the years and used so many of her sketches. I just LOVE them. I'm super sad to see her quit using a design team, but I'm so happy she's going to keep sharing her wonderful sketches with us!

This is the layout I've created for this last sketch.
I got my whole family on this layout with these two photos from our 4th of July celebration.
So I knew Bella Blvd's Family Forever collection would be fun for this layout.

Here's the sketch. You can see that I stayed pretty close to the design.

I had fun cutting out the strips from the Bella line and then piecing them back together in different ways around my layout.

I used twine to do some hand sewing and then added some of that fun Bella chevron tape too. I used a punch for the little hearts, but hand cut the bigger ones. The stars are cut from one of the strips of the Bella paper.

This flag came from the winter flags collection but went perfectly with my page. I just added one of those fussy cut stars to it for a bit more flair.

Putting the title and journaling on this layout was really fun. I loved using all the great stickers Bella has to go with their lines to stack up a fun title. Then I took this quote they had as a pp strip, cut it into pieces and used it for my journaling.

My guys w/ Bella Blvd

Hi!
I hope you're all doing well this week.
It's been pretty busy around my house lately, but I wanted to jump in here and show you this super fun layout I made of My Guys.

I used Bella Blvd's Christmas Cheer that I picked up at a local scrap store. I started with this fun blue polka-dot print that is actually from the Christmas Countdown collection and used my snowflake border and corner punches around it. Then I tore the middle out and layered it over a white cardstock background.

I knew I wanted to use this cute snow globe on my layout, so I cut it out and popped it up down in this corner. I also layered some of the other papers across the bottom of the layout.

I used the fun prints from these lines to create some banners for the top of my layout. Then added a few of the stickers I found from Bella too. I put my title over the banners and then outlined it with a colored marker to help it stand out a bit more.

These triangles were leftover from the banners I created for the top and I thought it would be fun to stack them at the bottom of the layout. A cute little flag behind them was perfect. It reminds me a bit of a pine tree.

I finished off my layout with a few more stickers, the snowflakes that I punched out earlier, Bella chevron washi tape (I LOVE cutting the chevrons into arrows!) and a bit of liquid pearls.

Beautiful Girl w/ Moxxie & NAS

I have a cute one for you today!
This is my little dancer.

As you can see, she loves being in the spotlight.
Tiny Dancer from Moxxie was PERFECT for these photos. She had so many pink costumes this year, I know I'll use a ton of this line scrapping these photos.
I also used sketch #357 from Nuts About Sketches.

I stayed really close to the design of the sketch, but didn't want to cut my photos down as much as the sketch called for, so they're a little tall and I just adjusted the papers around the photos to work with that.

I added a flourish sticker and mat to my title to make it stand out a bit more. I think the enamel dots and liquid pearls really finish this layout beautifully.

Totally Buggin' w/ MS&M sketches & Fancy Pants

Hello!
I decided to join in on the fun over at My Scraps & More sketches this month.
So this layout was created using their sketch #99.

I used Fancy Pants Be Different line for this layout. My son is not really a bug boy, but this particular day he was fairly impressed with this little beetle and I was playing with my brand new camera, so I got this adorable picture and knew it would be fun with these papers.

I stuck pretty close to the design of the sketch and used some of my favorite skull washi tape!

I actually messed up my journaling, which is when I pulled out the word stickers and started covering up my mistake. Stickers are great for cover ups!

I had a little bit of fun with my photo. I distressed the edges with an emery board and then punched the bottom corner with a fun skull punch I have. I used the punch out from the photo for an embellie with my title. I also did a bit of doodling around the layout and then used the negative from a star border punch I have to stencil the stars on the layout. I finished them off by coloring them in.

Moxxie Love Challenge & Hop!

Hello and Welcome the Moxxie Love Hop!
If you are just joining us you may want to jump over to the Moxxie blog and start the hop from the beginning, but if you're here from Rebecca's blog then you are in the right place!

Today I'm sharing a layout I made using the super fun Springtime line:

I LOVE this line! I think it's my favorite from this latest release (its hard to pick just one, but this might be it!).
And I LOVE this boy, so I thought this layout would be perfect for our hop:

This little boy is so crazy, silly, mischievous and fun! He always puts a smile on my face.
Here are some quick details and photos from my layout and then the rest of the hop info will follow.

The patterns of the line are so easy to use, front or back. My base page actually has a tree limb with a bird on it but I turned it upside down and layered papers over the bird. So all you see are a few flower blooms peeking out and I still get to have that gorgeous blue for my background. I love the chevrons on the sticker sheet. The only down side is, there isn't more of them! lol
Here you can also see that I punched some hearts from the photo corners, I then used them in my title.

Which is also using two of the new alpha colors, turquoise and green. The purple strip is the back of a barcode.

Love My Twinners

I'm having some scrappy fun lately and today I'm going to share a layout I did based on the sketch from The Studio Challenges.

These 2 have been mistaken for twins for most of their lives. I still remember the nurse exclaiming loudly when my daughter came totting in to visit me and our brand new baby, she said "You're the same size as your brother!" He was a pretty big baby and she was pretty small still for a 1.5yr old.
Seeing the 2 of them together always makes me think of how close in size they are, but they really couldn't be much more different in personality. They do have a great bond tho, that I hope they will always have.

After locating this cute photo I dug into my stash for an old kit. I changed the sketch just a bit when I found a paper in the kit that had these umbrella shaped hexagons. I thought they fit perfect with the carnival location, so I cut a few out and added them to my layout.

I used some washi tape to make a border around the layout. I went with arrows to go along with the Direction challenge at Frosted Designs and cut a journaling card to fit the banner portion of the sketch.

Lots of different elements in my title made it a lot more fun.

Caring w/ Moxxie

Hello! How about a fun Spring layout?

This is my sweet younger daughter. She is a bit of a perfectionist like her dad, but in these moments you really see how the tendency is a good quality to have. She always creates to the best of her ability and you can see how much she cares in both of these photos that my friend took of her when they went to a local Baby Animal event.
This layout was based on a sketch from MS&M sketch site.

I had fun layering all of the gorgeous patterns for Moxxie's Springtime line for this layout. I used the backside of the cutouts page from my base and added some orange dylusions, then layered pieces of Dandelion Wishes and Butterfly Garden. I also did a bit of punching.

I added some of the fantastic stickers from the Springtime line and then a bit of bling too.

For the title I used Moxxie's new Green Alpha stickers and layered the papers for my banner. Then finished it off with some doodling around the edge and some enamel dots and that cute butterfly.

Friends w/ NAS

 Hello!
Today I'm sharing a layout using sketch #355 from Nuts About Sketches.

I used the True Friend line from Fancy Pants and changed up the sketch just a bit.

I wanted to use a 4x6 photo, so I did. I just layered the black pp behind the photo like I imagined it would be behind the larger photo, then matted my photo and went from there.

The details of the sketch are really fun, so you can see that I used washi tape in place of the stitching on the sketch and hand drew some borders with marker.

I wanted my title to be a bit more simple so I just followed the washi border with it and clustered my embellies to move the eye around the layout.
