Spoons lo w/ Doodlebug

Happy Thanksgiving!
In honor of the big Tday, I want to share with you my favorite game to play with family.
I love spending time with my family and I love even more that they are competitive and good sports, which makes the game Spoons perfect to play when we're all together.

I used the super cute Santa Express line from Doodlebug for this. I recently won it from ACOT!
It's hard to get good photos of this game with all the fast action and low holiday lighting, but I think my daughter did a pretty good job. (I'm the one in the middle of the circle there in the photo on the right, its a long way to go for a spoon, but a woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do...)

I had fun layering these cute pattern papers along with the pretty border strip stickers and fun sprinkles shapes.

I splashed my white background with Ranger inks before beginning because I knew I wanted a bit of a wild look. These border sticker strips are perfect for the top and I used the snowflakes I punched from the corners of my smaller photo for a bit of extra decoration here. My title and date are from Moxxie. Love their awesome rub-ons! It made the title so fun and cute, and they are super easy to apply.

I'm always looking for more fun games to play with my family. Please tell me about your favorites in the comments below, I'd love to hear!
Happy Holidays!

It's all about volleyball decor!

So you may have noticed my blogging has been spotty lately. Sorry about that but life has a way of interrupting right? However, it didn't slow down my crafting!

My awesome daughter and her totally awesome high school volleyball team made it to state this year!!
We are SO proud of them and how hard they worked and played. Here's a shot of my daughter hitting during in one of the district games.

This hit took a wicked angle and landed just behind the other team's 10 foot line across the court. In Volleyball that's called a Kill.
The other mom's and I did a lot of spoiling and decorating. This is a shot of their lockers before districts:

I made a super cute treat with a bite size chocolate bar attached but I forgot to get a photo of it before I put them up.

Here's a photo of our front door all decorated for going to state:

I made that huge volleyball with my silhouette.
It's 12x12 in size.
Here's a closeup:

I cut the volleyball lines from white, the ball background from blue, the numbers from yellow using a font off my computer and the shadows from black. After assembling the balls I had time to add a bit of decoration. So I used my blue pen and added the dashes for faux stitching.

I did one for each girl on the team and one for the coach.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have a super crafty weekend.

Holiday cards w/ Moxxie's Happy Pawlidays

Are you busy working on holiday cards?
I am and I wanted to show you some cute ones I made using Moxxie's Happy Pawlidays line.

Super cute right? Only we no longer have any pets. So I thought it would be wonderful for making some fun holiday cards for us to send out.

I used one sheet of pattern paper to make both of these cards.

I took the Define Naughty paper and cut it in half horizontally. Then folded it so the cute little kittys and pretty tree would be the front of my card.

I added my fun Jingle all the Way stamp and little holly and then the Fleas sticker on the front and the Navidad sticker inside

So that left the pretty scroll work for my other card.

I added the fun Happy Pawlidays, cat, paw and banner stickers on the outside then outlined them with a marker to help them pop of the card. I also did a bit of inking around the outside.

For the inside I added more stickers and put together a sentiment with stickers from the Happy Pawlidays cardstock sticker sheet, some leftover alphas & a stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Bundle Up w/ Moxxie & NAS

 It's sketchy Monday!
Hello, I have a wonderful sketch to share with you today.

This sketch is from Nuts About sketches. Shawn has many wonderful sketches, that she shares with her readers on a weekly basis. Go check it out and get some creativity flowing!
Here is my example of this sketch:

Using the awesome Winterland line from Moxxie!
(there's a chance to WIN this line here)

Isn't it gorgeous?
Now onto the details.

I used the B side of Slip Slidin' for my base, cut the large circle from Ice Princess, the arrow from Frozen and then added the title with Moxxie's White Alphas.

These hexagons on the Snow Buddy paper are too cute not to use for embellishing. I created the distressed edge on most of the papers by opening my scissors and running the paper perpendicular to the cutting edge of the scissors. Be careful, occasionally it will tear into the paper really quickly, creating a rip like you see at the top of my big circle, sometimes they're bigger than you might want.

I used foam adhesive for dimension, a marker to outline my title, eggplant ink from SEI to ink around my base page and stickles to add a bit of glitter.

Happy Scrapping!

Tiny Tracks w/ Moxxie & NAS

I have a fun layout for you today! This is my little guy leaving his mark on the world. He was so excited to get out in the snow, I had to take some pics.

I used the left side of this sketch from Nuts About Sketches:

And the gorgeous new Winterland line from Moxxie

There's a giveaway for it on their blog!

And here's a few closeups of my layout:

I used Slip Slidin' as the base then added bit of Frozen and Snow Buddy for the banners and journaling strip.

I think this little snowman is my favorite sticker ever! Love him!! I just plopped him down on the sled for a bit of fun.

For the title I used Moxxie's White Alpha and then outlined it in blue to help it really stand out against the pretty snowflakes on the background paper. These hexagons from the Snow Buddy paper are really fun to cut out and layer on your pages.
I did a lots of inking and added a die-cut strip to the side and die-cuts to embellish at the top too.

Happy Scrapping!

Moxxie Card hop

Welcome to the Moxxie Card hop!
I am the last stop on the hop, but make sure you head back to the Moxxie blog and enter to WIN this awesome PRIZE!!

None other than the amazing New Winterland!!!
This line has a fantastic color combo, fun patterns and cute embellishments for all of your wintertime activities!

Details on how to WIN this line are below.

Today I have 3 cards from you, all designed from this fun Winterland line:

First up, the card you saw on the Moxxie blog.

I used a white cardstock base, punched the snowflakes in the side, added a leftover piece of Slip Slidin', layered the weather diecut with foam adhesive and then added white liquid pearls for the snow effect. Oh and a bit of inking.

Next I have a hanging element card:

I cut the Slip Slidin' paper specifically to have these pretty flourishes at the bottom of this card. For the hanging element I cut some of the hexagons from the Snow Buddy paper and then matched them up front and back so that when it spins you see similar patterns on the back. I stamped a sentiment and added some liquid pearls and stickles.

Last but not least:

For my last card I used the sled from the Slip Slidin' paper and thought it would be cute to use the Dashing through the Snow die-cut. It was a bit big for the card so I trimmed it down a bit and punched the corners. Last I punched a snowflake out of the corner of the card and added it to the die-cut sentiment.

Here's the full list of hop participants in case you missed anyone.

Cards w/ Carta Bella

For the month of Oct at Memorable Seasons I was using Carta Bella's, A Perfect Autumn line and we were making cards. Here's the kit, I bought extra papers and the sticker sheet to go along with it:

 Backs and sticker sheet

I'm not much into making cards but I had fun with these and really liked how they turned out.
First up, use your border punches on a card-

I love this little deer sticker and used this card for a gift for my neighbor's sweet little arrival.
Next, use banners-

I love the colors of this line, makes it really easy to use. A bit of brown inking really sets off the colors.
And last, a hanging element card-

Of course this adorable owl had to be the center of this card and then I used some of the leaf stickers to look like falling leaves. Inside I've added a birthday sentiment and this will be for my own owl loving little darling who will turn 13 this month!
Thanks for stopping by today
