So Silly!

 Happy 1st day of June!
It officially feels like summer break to me and now.
Hopefully we manage to keep are summer relatively low key.
I love having chill time with my kiddos.

Today I'm sharing this fun layout:

Based on a sketch I found on the Freckled Fawn blog
This sketch was so fun! I knew the Emoji would be perfect and I found these fun pics of my son goofing with his friend and knew they were the perfect photos for this layout.

I started with dripping a bit of color onto my background. Then I popped the ephemera with foam adhesives of varying sizes.

I followed the sketch for placement of title and journaling.

And finished up with some fun little details on the side.

Once Upon A Time

Welcome to the end of May.
Can you believe it's almost June? Where did the first half of the year go?
Who knows but I am excited for summer and time with my totally fabulously fun kiddos!
Speaking of, here's a layout about my youngest silly guy:

I used the May Jump Start sketch from The Scrap Room and their May kit.
Love this kit!!

I made a couple small changes to the sketch. Instead of putting my title at the bottom, I put my date and then added a smaller title up at the top of the photo.

There wasn't really a designated spot for journaling on the sketch, but around the layout is always fun and there was plenty of room. So that's what I did.

I finished up with a few of the fun embellishments from the Embellishment add-on and these great Jillibean stars that have been in my stash for a little too long.

Coloring Eggs

Have you been over to the Sketches in Thyme blog this month?
They have some awesome sketches over there with lots of fun samples for you to look at.
And of course a great prize!

Here's the sketch I worked with this month:

And here's what I did with it:

I used the circle pattern on the sketch to inspire the oval eggs shaped decorations on my Easter layout. Then I used washi tape and pen stitching to add some details.

I used a big sticker for the title. It worked perfect in the area that the sketch had the title.
I love it because sometimes those big stickers just don't work where you need a title.

I finished up with some bright dew drops and cute heart stickers.
Don't forget to check out the other sketches for this month on the Sketches In Thyme blog.

Smart & Sassy

 Hey there!
I'm still having a lot of fun working on some of the NSD challenges.
This layout fits challenge #7 from Scrap Our Stash using sketch #128 from Sketch N Scrap:

The SOS challenge also called for stars which I added from Elle's Studio.
Here's a few closeups:

Today I'm sharing this fun Explore layout:

I used the Freaky Fast Friday challenge from The Scrap Room and added the NSD challenge from Scrap Our Stash.

I used this fun travel line with some bright colors and fun tropical embellishments to accent some family photos.

Here, I added a sticky backed brad to the center of this wood veneer for a unique look.

Thanks for popping in!

Happy Guy

 It's National Scrapbook day!
I'll be heading out in not too long to go to a couple soccer games, but I wanted to play a little while I could.
I've created this fun layout:

This little guy is just so fun and energetic! He is constantly making me laugh.

This fits Challenge #1 from Scrap Our Stash.
Which was using a sketch from Grand Diva's Creative Corner and challenge from Rochelle Spears blog to use a fussy cut item (my blue swirl bottom right of photo), patterned papers, border punch (stars) & then add mixed alphas.
Here are a couple detail photos:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get to create something fun today!

So cheeky

When I saw the single page sketch that Stick it Down had this month I knew I had to use it. It is just awesome! And here is the layout I made using it:

These sweet cheeks are totally scrapable!
Here's some closeups:

 Thanks for swinging in!

Work of Art & 4H camp

I've got 2 layouts for you in this post.
For both of them I used the sketches and challenges posted at Let's Get Sketchy.
First up:

I loved the sketch for this layout!
Here's a couple closeups:

This kid is constantly cracking me up!
He's just so much fun.

And here's my layout for the 2nd sketch challenge which included a mood board.
My inspiration from the mood board was the pineapple. I picked a tropical traveling line to scrap these photos.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have used this line w/o the mood board challenge, but I really like the way it turned out. Here's couple closeups:

Thanks for taking a peek!

Cheers 2 us

 Hey there!
I recently got to go to the Let's Create Expo in Sandy Utah and scrap the weekend away with some great friends. I had a blast and managed to get more than just some shopping done. While I was there I did this challenge from The Scrap Room using a sketch.
Here's my take on it:

Originally I thought the triangle shape used above and below the photo was going to be hard to replicate but it was actually really easy.
Here are a few closeups:

I used the Fancy Pants line from this month's Scrap Circle kit for this. It was a perfect fit for my photos.

Wild w/ Sketches in Thyme

I hope you're all enjoying your April so far.
Today I bring you this sketch from the Sketches In Thyme blog, make sure you check out all the details for the monthly contest on their blog:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I used a kraft background that I grunged up with some Vintage Photo distress ink and then I layered a bunch of beautiful patterned papers from my TSR monthly kit

I did some fussy cutting to layer the way I wanted and popped up the butterfly sticker with some foam adhesive.

I finished up with some fun stickers and journaling.

Spring Hunt

Getting in one last challenge this month.
I used TSR's sketch for this layout:

I used this month's kit with Echo Park's Celebrate Spring line.

I did some fussy cutting and had fun layering all the pretty designs.

I finished up with journaling on strips and outlining the alphas in my title to make them pop more against my white background.
Thanks for coming by!

Leprechaun Trap

Today I'm sharing a layout I made using TSR's Freaking Fast Friday challenge. This is one of my favorite challenges ever!

I pulled out some old papers and just started cutting. I think that might be my favorite part of the challenge. Occasionally I overthink things and this challenge just doesn't work that way.

I also pulled out some fun things I got from Paper Issues a while ago and made this into a fun holiday layout to go along with the theme of the pictures.

My favorite part was stacking up the sequins to create a pile of gold.
Thanks! :)Ange

Shine layout

 Hey there!
I've got one of the most beautiful sports layouts I've ever created to share with you today.
Check it out:

Isn't that fun?!
I used this awesome sketch from Sketches in Thyme and a kit from TSR with Echo Park's Just be You line. Not exactly the line you would think of for sports papers, but I think it turned out fabulous!
Here's a few closeups:

I crossed out the part of the journaling on the sticker that didn't fit with my theme and added in what I wanted with these fun alphas

I also cut up a journaling card to put on the page the way I wanted instead of leaving it in the rectangle form.

Add a few softball brads and a LOT of brown inking and you have an awesome sports layout using an unexpected line.
