NAS reveal day!

Here's today's sketch

Don't you just love it? I love how Shawn created a basic 2 photo sketch that lets you add 4 photos, or 5 if you squeeze in another little one like I did. This is my youngest child. And he's making sure he's the last! He's into everything!!

I loved making this lo and showing how he uses the littlest things to get him where he's headed. In this case, he's after that little Zhu Zhu dog my daughter left on the table. But my favorite photo is the bottom one of him all crouched down cheesing at me because he knows he's in trouble. How do you stay mad?

What's Scrapping

Sketch Saturday!

Amy posted this sketch

And here's my take on it

This is my first layout to include a banner (I know I'm behind) so I looked for some paper that I thought would make it easy to include a banner and low and behold I found some Sassafras Lass with banner stickers, score! So I cut up a couple of sheets to make the bottom border how I wanted, added some ink here and there, hand drew the scalloped 'rainbows' on the sides and stamped abc's.
Then I added some Glitz teeny alphas and dew drops to the banner. Last but not least I went looking for the perfect title. I was originally going to title it "Awesome" with maybe blue thickers, but I happened upon this title on a BG lime ricky sticker sheet and thought "yes".
I added the border and drew marker around it to help it pop more, added the little blue sun/star under the y, put my journaling on and doodled around it a bit, then inked around the entire lo, cuz I like to do that. ;)

I was not able to get it emailed on time due to some computer issues (yay, not), but I just loved this sketch and how this lo turned out. Thanks for looking! Don't forget to go check out the rest of the dt examples here. This also meets the challenge at TPV this week.

What's Scrapping

I'm a little late with this but Michelle uploaded an ad-inspiration challenge. Here's the ad:

And here's my take on it:

What can I say? The food spoke to me. Love the colors too. So what does this ad inspire you to scrap? Go to What's Scrapping and upload your take on the ad for us to see! Don't forget to check out today's post about the mini album, very cool. :)

NAS reveal day!

Shawn just posted her new sketch. I LOVE this one it has lots of different photo options and I love the geometric look Anna went with on her version. Check out the rest of the DT's versions here.

Normally I would have replaced the 5x7 with 2 or more smaller photos, but I happen to have picked up a few 5x7 photos lately and this picture of Jayse when he was tiny went perfect with this sketch.

I did a lot of paper crumpling, inking, pen stitching and distressing. I knew I'd accomplished the look when my husband smiled at the lo and told me it looked like one of the kids had gotten a hold of it. :)

I also did a little pop-dotting for dimension and used my new cricut cart. for the JLW.
Thanks for stopping by!

Behind each cloud

Combo challenge! I started this lo for a challenge on TPV, scrapping about an illness. It was not coming together very well so I looked for some help which came in the form of a color challenge from WT and TSS. It's great that there's so many challenges out there to help you when you get stuck!

I used multiple border punches, rub-ons and pen stitching to make a few things pop. TFL!
