Sew Happy layout

Hello, hello!

Today I have this year's last Scrap Our Stash challenge for you.
It's another sketch challenge with a twist.

This is sketch is a really good design that works with lots of different photo types.
I used two photos on my layout.

I changed up the number of photos which is easy to do with a sketch design like this but otherwise kept the design of the sketch for my layout. As you can see it works really well. I used twine on my tag with journaling and finished up with some hand drawn faux stitches on my pattern papers and around the layout itself.

Thanks for stopping in!

Book Worm layout

You are going to love today's sketch from Sketches In Thyme!

It's a good one right? Simple and elegant.

I started with a kraft background to help my photos and page elements stand on their own a bit. I had these fun photos of my boy who seems to always have his head in a book, which is just a great way to spend your extra time if you ask me. So I looked for some papers that would represent imagination and/or adventure. I ended up using some elements from 3 different lines. One was a travel line, another was a Once Upon a Time line that ended up being perfect for these photos & the 3rd I stole the fun puffy stars from.

I hope you're enjoying some down time and a good book this month.

Mmm, Tasty layout

Today's scrap our stash challenge is a fun one!

At first I was worried about the twist of adding 10 of either hearts, stars or circles, but it turned out to be easier than I thought.

I started with a splattered background, picked my papers and made 10 circles. Then I laid them out on the background and put my pictures over before deciding to matte them and then I added my embellishments, journaling along the bottom edge of my design and then finished up with a fun pen drawn border.

Cute lil Pumpkins layout

Halfway through November already. Crazy how fast time goes.
Today I have this lovely sketch challenge from Scrap Our Stash to share:

The twist is to add a fall embellishment.

I went with a simple fall layout for this challenge and found some really fun embellishments in my stash to go along with it. My journaling is on the tag inside the pocket. Adding the cork pumpkin to the flower on the pocket was a fun finishing touch to the layout for me, along with the fall colored sequins.

Clowning Around layout

Up today is a sketch challenge from Sketches In Thyme.
Here's the sketch:

And my layout:

This one was cute, fun and super quick to put together. I used a white pen to do my journaling on black strips before adding them to my layout.

I hope you're having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by.

lil Monster layout

 Hello!
Today I have a scraplift challenge with a twist for you from Scrap Our Stash
Here's the challenge:

I've mentioned that I love doing lots of ink on spooky layouts so this next layout probably won't surprise you.

I left some brand new paper out on my scrapbook desk and my lil Monster decided to grab my ink and decorate it for me. lol I can tell you I was definitely bummed, but this is why we have 2 sided paper, right?
I used different inks to splatter my background and the doily I used on my layout.
Then I dug deep into my stash and used up some old embellishments that turned out to be perfect for these photos.

Halloween layout

I'm sharing a fun layout today.

I may have mentioned that I love Halloween,
so it's extra fun for me to scrap Halloween layouts and photos.

I don't really have much in the way of Star Wars for scrapping purposes so I went with a cutsie Halloween line for this layout. I added multiple different washi tape designs because I have an addiction. lol And just had fun adding stickers and embellishments from there.

I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap and a bingo challenge from Scrap with Stacy. I did black, banner & stickers.

Thanks for dropping by!

Scary stuff layout

 Happy October to you all!

I hope you're enjoying some fun fall and Halloween activities.
We just took my boy and a few of his friends to a local Haunted Hollow and they had a blast.
Good times!

Today I'm sharing another challenge from Scrap Our Stash:

For this challenge I started by picking a few pumpkin carving photos to scrap, from there I picked some papers and lastly embellishments.

I've had this cute little cut out in my stash for a bit and it was perfect for this layout. I used orange and yellow ink to create a candy corn feel on it. I just took a q-tip and saturated it with yellow ink on one end and orange on the other, then ran it along the title until I had it colored the way I wanted.
Add a few ink drips and some scary stickers and die-cuts, then top it all off with some enamel dots.

I hope you have a spooky, fun Halloween this year!
Thanks for stopping.

RIP pumpkin layout

Happy Spooky month to you all!

This is one of my favorite times of year! I love Halloween!!

Today I get to share a sketch challenge from Sketches in Thyme with you. Here is the sketch:

Now at first glance you might think this sketch would be a bit difficult to make into a spooky, fun Halloween layout, but not when you're determined! lol

Here's my layout:

First I started with some red and orange ink that I sprayed heavily and let run down my layout. The idea was to make my background look like your floor or table after pumpkin carving but with a touch of creepy Halloween to it. I had these super cute photos of my little guy just attacking this big pumpkin with a small screwdriver. lol He was having a blast leaving his mark on the pumpkin.

I decided torn paper circles would be great for the flowers behind the photos, but added more by making my photos a little smaller and then just taking up more space on the layout. From there I added some scary embellishments and a fun title. Last I added the black ink around the layout.

Happy creepy month to you!
Thanks for stopping by.

Spooky layout

Today I'm sharing a fun layout I did for the Scrap Our Stash blog and challenge.
Here is the challenge:

Halloween is my favorite holiday, so obviously I love scrapping photos from around the big day.

One of my favorite design elements for a Halloween layout is the use of ink, which made this challenge super fun and easy to do.

I really enjoy lifting layouts so I tend to keep the main design for my own layout. I added lots of ink in sprays, drips and splatters. Then I laid out my photos and embellished until I was happy.

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween month!

Congrats card

It's been some time since I was able to get a sketch done to go along with a challenge that I wasn't a DT member for. lol But I'm glad I was finally able to do one.
Lots of Grads in my life lately and I needed some cards. So this sketch from Sketch N Scrap was perfect.

Here's my card based on their sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and thanks to SNS for the inspiration.
