Think Spring card w/ Kreaxions

The theme for the April Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions punches reveal is Spring!
And I have created this fun Spring card to share:

I started with a 4-1/4 inch circle that I punched with #309 and then cut it in half to go on my card.
I used Moxxie's Springtime line to help decorate the card.

I also added grape gelatos to help the pretty punched flowers pop.

Check out the blog to see what the rest of the design team did with there punches.

Make Time lo w/ Kreaxions

Hello!
I have a wonderfully goofy layout for you today.
My family is not big on getting their photo taken, but I've found they will pose, and pose well, if I promise a goofy photo after the good one. As you might imagine, I have MANY more goofy photos, than "good" ones. But I have to say, I really love them.

I actually cut 2 different photos to put this one together and then I just had to add the one of my little guy with his back to the camera.

I used Punch 901 from Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions to go up the side of this fun orange pattern paper.

Then I used the extra "edge" piece over on the right side of the layout.
I used a lot of different inks on the background page to really liven up the kraft.

I used Punch 309 along the side of the yellow paper but I didn't want the flower to show so I layered the darker blue patter over the top of the flower but you still get them fun edge design.

All About that Sass! w/ LMT

Today I'm havin' some fun with Love My Tapes!
My younger daughter is not really all that sassy but she really can turn it on for a dance competition.

I picked some fun black and red tapes from Love My Tapes to go with her outfit and then added stars because I think she's a star. I also added a lot of red ink to my base page.

I layered the tapes onto my layout alternating colors and patterns. It makes a great base for my title using Moxxie's white alpha. I outlined it with a black pen to help it pop more.

Then I added some pattern papers and used the star tape for a photo mat and added some of the black chevron for embellishment.

Last I added tapes at the top along with some pattern paper banners and fun embellies.
Super simple and fun!

Dirty fun! w/ MS&M

 Woohoo for sketchy Friday!
Today we are working with this fun sketch:

Here is my take on it.

My little guy having some fun in the sand box AFTER running through the sprinkler. Is there any other way?

Other than flipping the sketch I stuck really close to the design. I had fun using some of the new goodies I just got from SEI at the Sandy, UT Let's Create Expo. I love to take bold patterns and cut them along their design. It makes it fun and easy to use, without overwhelming your project.

My son isn't the only one getting messy! I used a lot of Vintage Photo distress ink and then dripped melted chocolate Dylusions on my layout. While the drips were still wet I smeared them with a paper towel.

I used Moxxie's Brown alpha for my title and then added the lines with my brown marker. The best thing about a messy page is, you can't mess it up!

You can see what the whole design team did with this sketch on the My Scraps & More Sketches blog.
I wish you a messy, fun weekend!

Crazy 4 U! card w/ Love My Tapes

Ok so I am pretty much addicted to washi tape!
After making the Love My Tapes dt, I decided I want needed a few more to work with, so
I went and ordered myself a "few" more.

Yep, these stacks make me happy :)
And I got right to work on this fun card.

My husband and I just had our 17th anniversary, so I made this for him.
I started with a white cs base and then added this funky chevron tape. In the store it's called red, yellow, green masking tape. I layered the strips on a diagonal.

Next I added two strips of the Heart tape and my sentiment with Moxxie's black alpha.

My card needed just a little bit more so I cut a heart out of a scrap of paper and added the cute Lime with White polka dots tape. Then popped it up with some foam adhesive and added a few heart embellies.

Thanks for coming by today,
:)Ange

Now for my project.
I am seeing blooms on the trees outside my window and I am SO ready for spring. One of the things that we regularly do in the springtime here is dance performances.
My younger daughter is a dancer and we are always finishing up her season in the spring, so I thought doing some photos of her using our awesome Tiny Dancer line would be perfect.

Here is my layout:

It is so much fun to watch this girl dance! The quote on the cutouts page "Some people wait their whole lives to meet their favorite dancer... I'm raising mine." was perfect for the journaling on my layout.

I used the fun stickers from Tiny Dancer and white alphas to create my title.

Using the barcode strips for a top border was really simple. The quote came as a 3x4 card, I just cut it into strips to add where I wanted it. Some of them I popped up and others I glued directly to the page.

I backed the last bit to help it really stand out.
Don't forget to go through the hop and leave comments for more chances to WIN!
Thanks for hopping!

Aquarium w/ My Scraps & More Sketces & Bo Bunny

 Happy Sketchy Friday!
Today I have this awesome sketch from My Scraps & More sketches to share with you:

And here is my layout:

We had more than a few quiet moments watching the animals when we visited the zoo. I thought it was interesting which animals the kids seemed to be more enthralled with. My middle two really seemed to enjoy watching the otters swoop and dive in the water.

I used Bo Bunny's Safari line, picked a dark brown pattern for my background and then the lighter blue for under my photo. Then I picked out a few contrasting papers for the strips.

I like punching my photos, its a really fun effect. So I used a star border punch on this one along the top where it wouldn't interfere with what the photo is about. Then I used the punched out stars as accents on my layout. I also cut this chevron pattern from a 6x6 paper and added some of the chipboard stickers.

I had just a tiny bit of the this brown rub-on left from a previous layout so I used it under my journaling and to help bring focus to my title along with the banner chipboard pieces that make some fun geometric designs.

You can check out what the rest of the design team did on the My Scraps & More sketches blog.

Quick decoration for Easter w/ Love My Tapes

Hello, I have a cute, fun & easy Easter project for you today.
I have these fun little wooden magnets my husband cut out for me a few years ago when he made me a wire decoration for my living room, to hang my newly made layouts from. The magnets go over the screws he used to attach the decoration to the wall.

I'm constantly changing the layouts I hang from the decoration, so it's really fun to have these little magnets to change to go along with the current holiday. I put a base coat on them, but then wasn't sure what else to do, because, well..., its fun to change them each year, right?
Washi tapes were the perfect solution. Each holiday I can pull the magnets out, take the tape off from the year before and put some fun new tape on!

Here I've picked 4 different polka-dot colors from the store; yellow dots, purple dots, blue dots, & green dots. Then I layered them closely over each of my eggs.

Next you trim the edges with your scissors as close as you can then push the tape down along the edges.

Finish your eggs with a bit of ink or pen work.

Here is what they look like hanging on my wall:

Easy, fun, beautiful and different every year!

A bit of Sunset w/ Kreaxions

 Hi, Happy April Fool's day!
Do you have any fun pranks planned?
We are on spring break around my place and I love to wake the kids and tell them they're late for school. lol Always makes me giggle.

All joking aside, I have a cool layout for you today.
I am working with the awesome Kreaxions punch #901 on this layout.

This is my daughter dying her hair with kool-aid. She did a sunset look in the ends of her hair and it looked totally awesome, here you can see how orange it went before she added in the red.

I used the cute True Friends line from Fancy Pants because I thought the colors and little sayings on the stickers would be perfect for my photos. Plus the patterns are really fun. Here you can see that I added some doodled lines for a little more oomph to my page.

I wanted to use the punch along the sides of my photo so the corner design was more of a border. I thought it would look really cool pointing in at my daughter. So I lined the paper up in the punch and did 3 punches in a straight line before cutting the edge down to my photo mat size.

I backed the main photo in the fun bright yellow pattern design, but wanted the butterfly and flourishes to pop more for the other photo. So I backed it with a dark brown. I really like how it makes them pop out of the orange polka-dot print.

Often photos have some white or wasted space in them and I love using my punches in those areas. I also like to cut the fun pattern papers out by following the design in the paper, like the diamonds on the blue patter behind my photos and the bold chevron from the other paper.

I used 3 strips of Love My Tapes Clouds with Love at the top of my page for the "sky" and then added the fun little banner stickers and flair button. Just one of my favorite things about this punch is all of the cute little butterflies I have to add as embellishment to my layout after using the punch. They are the perfect accent!

Have a fabulous day!
