A little Nuts w/ Moxxie

 Hello! I hope you're all doing well this fine fall day.

And speaking of fall, I bring you a fun fall layout today, using the adorable Forever Fall line by Moxxie.

 We took these photos at a little local festival that we have in this area every year. My kids had lots of fun with their friends and it's so fun to see all the pumpkin displays they have. I'm looking forward to going again this year.

I started with a dark brown base and then just picked patterns from the Forever Fall line that I wanted on my layout. I really love these little pumpkins, so that was my first pick. I also liked that I could put the bar code strips on because they have the fun fall wording on the back of them.

I also trimmed and distressed my photo so I could put the Fall card Pick of the Patch on the layout without crowding. I pretty much ink whenever and wherever I can, love ink. Here I used brown and black.

I finished up with adding a fun little quote about my cute nuts. I love that the letters are the same color as the background but you can still see them really well because they crossover to the pp and have some fun stickers to help them pop. Add a few more stickers here and there and your done!

Sending a Hi! w/ DCWV

 Have you seen the totally cute Homeroom stack from DCWV? Oh my gosh, love it!! I am totally excited to use it for a couple of layouts I'm planning, but for now I've got this fun and easy card for you:

I loved this paper airplane sheet and thought it would be perfect for a card. I just cut the sheet down to the size I needed and folded it in half, added a little word bubble with mini alphas for my sentiment and then fussy cut the word bubble w/ HI out of a full sheet of fun word bubbles that was in the stack. I punched the side of the card to give it a notebook paper look, inked my edges and then added a little marker doodling to finish it off.

I can't even tell you how much fun I had making this layout! I absolutely LOVE this photo of my son in his skeleton costume from last year and I had loads of fun with some simple editing. I made it black & white then added red to his eyes. I love the way my husband painted his face, the look here is fantastic.

My favorite part of making this layout was using the red dylusions spray on the white cs. I almost couldn't bring myself to put the picture over it when I was done. It looked awesome! Which is why I went with having it stick out from behind at an angle instead of matting the photo, which was my original intention.

 I used the Scraptastic club October kit and just had a lot of fun combining all the elements from the kit.

I even colored the wood spiders black and red to look like black widows. I just used my pens to do it. They went on pretty easy.

Sky's the Limit w/ DCWV

The Sky's the Limit! Especially with this fun stack from DCWV! I created this card using 4 papers from the stack:

I pieced together the layers over white cs (after inking the edges of course), added a strip of washi tape and then fussy cut these fun elements out of another pp from the stack. I inked their edges and added them to the front of the card. Inside I added y-heart-u! with alphas and a fussy cut heart in a slightly larger size than you see here.

Fighting Back w/ Moxxie

 This week on the Moxxie blog we are Fighting Back! This wonderful line has some of the most beautiful designs in it and it's for such a great cause. You can win the entire line, just go HERE to get all the details.

 For my project, I decided to make some journals to donate to a nearby cancer research facility.

I used composition notebooks and this awesome Fighting Back line from Moxxie to decorate two. The actual dimensions of the notebooks were different, which surprised me, but I made due where I cut my paper too small by adding the bar code strip with "hope" on it along the side:

I put the pattern paper on both the front and back of both notebooks using mod podge. (Don't forget your drying time) I also inked in black, matted the "I will persevere" sticker (not your regular stickers, these are good quality cardstock stickers!) w/ black cs and added some pretty ribbon.

I made my own banner strip here using the chevron pattern as a guide, matted it in black, then added the "believe" rub-on (LOVE the rub-ons!). These quote stickers are perfect so I put one on the chevron pp, matted, inked and adhered to the front. Then I finished this one off with some more pretty ribbon.
