Got sports?

 We do! I love that my kids are so active in sports, it's just fun. Never hurts to go yell and scream for a good cause right?
 Today I have 2 Moxxie sports layouts to share with you. First up is my oldest playing volleyball this past summer:

 These are actually some photos my husband got from the walkway above the games, great angle.
I used the Moxxie volleyball Game Point paper as the base and just added my photos, their super fun rub-ons in a Subway art look (inspired by the challenge at Scraptastic Club) along with the title of Thickers, added a few embellishments, along with stickles and glossy accents to step things up. I really love the artwork in the lower left of the paper, so all I did was add a little stickles to highlight it a little. I hand drew the volleyball behind the round photo and added some glossy accents to give it a more 'real' look. Here are a few close ups.







 This next one is my littlest guy trying on my older son's headgear at one of the many meets we attended. You gotta do something to keep them entertained right?

This is such a fun wrestling line. I used kraft as the base and just started splashing and dripping some spray mist on it for a fun look.
I used the b sides of Takedown and Tie Up, fussy cut the shoes out of the front of Tie Up and embellished with cb stars, ink, stickles and the element stickers.
One of my favorite parts of this layout is the notebook looking piece of paper at the top. It's actually the backside of the barcode strip that you would normally cut off and throw away, but Moxxie was smart enough to make the back side something you can use, so I punched it and added it to the top.
 But the best part of this line is that it's neutral colors, so whatever team colors you have, this line will look great with them!

Winter entertainment

I have been dying to cut into this Moxxie winter line ever since it hit my little hands, but you know this and that kept me busy. So it's been the little teaser on my scrappy desk just waiting for me to play with it. FINALLY I got to this weekend and I combined it with an awesome Nuts sketch. Here is my layout:


I am in love with the purples and blues in this line! So perfect for winter layouts. I did a little misting on the background, lots of dark purple inking and the snowflakes didn't all come in matching colors, so I flipped them over and inked them to match my layout. I also added a bit of stickles and the punched border for a little more fun.

Just a little indoor entertainment for Jayse during a long cold winter.

Time Will Tell

This month's challenge at Scrap Our Stash is Time Will Tell. This challenge is really wide open to many interpretations, but what I thought of was all the possibilities when it comes to my kids. For instance, my little 2yr old monster, what will he be like in a couple more years? My daughter that starts high school this year, where is she headed? So I just started looking through photos and these grabbed me.

  I believe this was one of her very first hits in one of her very first competitive league games. It's only been 2 years but she's developed so much as a player since this day. She loves this sport and aspires to go far with it. What kid doesn't dream of going pro at some point, right?
  But I did want to remind her to have fun, after all, it is just a game.

So here I used this totally fun softball line from Moxxie, punched the star border into kraft cs, cut my photo matte to resemble the stitches of the ball, made my journaling spot to resemble home plate, added some white and brown ink to where the title was going, to make it a little 'dirty' and added the cute cs stickers, a few brads and photo corners to focus the eye on the title.

Bounce to it

I've got a new NAS layout for you! Here it is:


I used some fun Jillibean Soup for this cute layout of my little guy bouncing across the trampoline to "find" his egg. This sketch was just perfect for this fun layout. Love the title around the journaling! I did a lot of pen stitching with various colors of markers on this and did a little pop-dotting with some of the cute stickers. For the flower in the upper left, I hand drew the petals around the sticker and then cut it out and added some doodles.

My project for you today is this fun little bookmark. It just sits on the top corner of the page:
They were super easy and fast to make with the fun colorful papers from the Very Merry Unbirthday line! I used the backside of the candle border for the "teeth", a little cardstock for the eyes and some twine for the "hair". My kids all loved them and I even got a request from the TEENager for one!
