Trio of baby cards

I've got a set of three baby cards to share with you today. I used the beautiful Wee Ones line from Moxxie. I really love the colors in this line and that you can do boy, girl or gender neutral all with this one line. I was in need of a girl card so I actually did two girl and one boy.

I used a simple swing card idea with two of them, where you just cut an opening in the front flap larger than the element you are going to have swinging, attach the element to some twine or ribbon and there you go. Then I added bling around my circle, washi tape on the bottom and inked the edges.

This card had the same basic build, but I moved the opening lower so I could add the border strip to the top, then I dry embossed the zigzag lines along the bottom and lightly inked them to make them pop, stamped small words around the circle opening and inked the edges.

While I was still in the mood to make cards, I whipped this up. I really wanted to use this pretty pink as a card, but I couldn't give up the sweet little sleeper on the other side of the paper. So I ended up cutting my card from the middle of the sheet so I could use the baby for something else.

Then I decided to cut the baby and umbrella out and use them on the front of the card with this little Hello die-cut. I used the little bird that was standing on the handle of the umbrella to cover the 'My' on the die-cut. Then added some clouds and a little butterfly with some bling. All my edges are inked here also.

The fun part about using this pretty pink as a card was that the reverse side has these sweet clouds and butterflies, so the inside is just as pretty and I didn't do a thing. :)

Sweet Baby

I have a quick post for you today. I did this fun little layout with many things in mind. First I'm working on a gift baby album, which is why there are no photos here (who would have thought that would be so difficult for me? But it totally was!)

2nd I used this awesome sketch by Shawn from Nuts About sketches and The Original Scrapbook USA Expo lo challenge theme 'Give me A Reason to Celebrate'

3rd I used a banner to go along with the Twinery's challenge

Here's a detail photo:

I cut out these banner pieces from the paper, then punched and strung them. I added lots of pp layers, ink, buttons w/more twine and a few other embellies, including my own flag made with the extra star banner piece I had.

Softball team treat

My daughter's high school softball season officially started this week with their first away game. I wanted to give them a little something to start the season off. So I cut out this Play Ball title on my cricut, glued it to mat, all in school colors, and tied it to a bottle of water and small bag of sunflower seeds for all the girls.
I hope they have a great season and learn a lot. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)Ange

Out!

The first NAS layout of the new term! Fantastic sketch check it out here and here is my layout that I created using it:

I used Moxxie's Softball line. I don't think I will ever get tired of these papers. I absolutely love that they go with the sport itself rather than a particular color, that way you can add your teams colors with the papers. Of course here our team was a neon green so I didn't add much more color than the bit of neon green cs for the journaling. I also used Moxxie stickers and rub-ons, along with a bit of Bella Blvd and MME washi tape.
We are just gearing up for this softball season. I'm super excited to watch my daughter play in royal blue this year and see her have some fun with this new team!!

Thanks for dropping by! :)Ange

Moxxie - pp, stickers, rub-ons

DT layout

I am very happy to announce that I will be staying on with Nuts About Sketches as a dt member. I really love Shawn's sketches because it is so easy for me to create awesome layouts with them. If you haven't tried one of her sketches you totally should. She is the best!

So for this round Shawn offered up two sketches for us to choose from. I love them both but only had time to do one so I chose this one:

 And created this:

I just loved these photos of my oldest and youngest together, so much that I did some fun stuff with them in photoshop before printing them out. So I wanted them to go on a special lo where they were highlighted. I chose a white background so the darker (not quite as dark as they are here, winter, bad light sorry) photos would pop more and just did a little embellishing with the adorable Moxxie Wee Ones line.

Here I used the Wee Ones die-cuts and stickers and did a little bit of outlining with a green marker.
Here I layered the Love ticket onto another pp that I hand cut to be slightly larger but the same shape. I used foam adhesive to make my own 3D embellishment. Then I used 3 more stickers but popped the butterfly with foam adhesive as well.
I added the die-cut border, drew my journaling lines using a ruler and added my journaling. I also outlined the photos with one line of green marker, a little easier to see in the top close up.

Simple but effective. Thanks so much for stopping by! If you like what you see I'd love for you to become a follower and don't forget to check out the rest of the new dt and Shawn's awesome sketches Here.
