Today I have a layout using this week's Nuts sketch and the Scraptastic club kit from March:
You can find the sketch here. I just had a lot of fun with all the yellow in this kit and then added bits of red here and there to add a bit of pop. It's so fun to watch my kids play and get along with each other. I love these moments with them all running, giggling and having fun.
Thanks for stopping by!

Easter is over but...
What do you do with all those Easter Egg Hunt photos?
Well, picking out Moxxie's awesome Homespun Easter line was the easy part, but I'll admit I struggle a bit with 2 page layouts. Like everyone else, sometimes I have enough photos that I just have to do some 2 pagers or I'm going to be scrapping this event forever. But what to do then if I'm not a stellar 2 page layout scrapper? Well, use a sketch of course. So here is my favorite sketch site Nuts About Sketches. I am just in love with these sketches. They are so easy for me to use, even the 2 page ones.
Recently Shawn posted a 2 page layout that I felt was perfect for some of my Easter photos that I needed to get scrapped. Here is the sketch:
And here is the layout I created using the sketch and Homespun Easter:
I did not have the perfect photos for this sketch, but I had plenty and I found a way for this sketch to work for me. As you can see I left one of my photos long and then added in embellishment where the other photo would go. Since some of my photos were oriented in a way that wouldn't work with the design of the right side of the sketch, I just put my photos on and then filled in the space with more embellishment. Super easy to mix it up a bit to fit your needs but you can still see the sketch design in my layout.
Using Moxxie's stickers made it easy to fill in this photo space with embellishment. I used the cute Moxxie stickers, a little washi tape and a flower brad. You can also see the hand stitching I added here.
The main reason I used circles on 2 of my photos is because I took them on a diagonal with my camera. So they did not fit well with the grid shape of the sketch but I think the circles turned out cute and added a lot to my layout. Here I finished out the grid with the egg border die-cut which I trimmed down and then popped all of the squares of eggs out so that I could put them back in sitting up and with a few popped out for more dimension.
Here I used more Moxxie stickers for my title, a couple die-cuts, more twine and brads and pins, some of which were laying on my table for way too long. Love using those up!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Ange

Fancy Pants Trendsetter
Ange here today with Fancy Pants adorable Trendsetter line.
I was recently able to attend the Original Scrapbook USA Expo in Sandy, UT. I had SO much fun while I was there! I can't wait to go back next spring. While I was there Kristin had stacks of product available for us to bring home to work with. There was so many awesome products! It made it hard to choose which pile to bring home with me. lol But when I saw Fancy Pants Trendsetter line I was sold. I LOVE this line and have been wanting to get my hands on it ever since they first started showing sneaks of it. So here is what I made with it:
Of course I had to find the perfect photo to go along with such a fun line & this 'Ladies This Way' die-cut was a big help in directing the course of this layout. This is my youngest being his charming little self last summer, while practicing his wink. We went out to see the solar eclipse and it created the most awesome soft light, so of course I brought out the camera. Other than enlarging this to a 5x7 I didn't do any editing to this photo.
But I did a lot to this tag pp! I loved the look of it and thought it would be so cool to use strips of tags on my lo. So the first strip I cut off the bottom of the paper. That strip was only part of the tags so I used it along the bottom of my lo, right above a Tape Sticker strip.
The second strip I used along the edge of my photo. For both strips I cut the triangles out between each tag and then bent them along their edges to ink them, giving them individual dimension, w/o having to cut them all apart. With these ones I punched out the holes and added red twine and string from the tags of a recent clothing purchase.
For the title area I layered different pp's and the postcard die-cut, then used the alphas from the sticker sheet to create my cute title. Anyone else hear Joey Tribbiani's voice when they read that? lol
I used a pop dot for the Rock Star sticker added the star strip below and then added the 2 as an afterthought. I often overlook using larger #'s because I tend to add dates small and under my journaling, so I thought this would be a fun way to add in the cute starred 2.
The final touches were mostly from the button set. I used the star and the banners, along with some twine and then made my own flag with a toothpick from my cupboard and some more of the fun stickers.
This is a super cute line! I hope you enjoyed what I did with it.
Thanks! Ange

Girls Rule!
I've got a new layout for you today! If you've been by the Nuts About Sketches blog this week then you may have seen it there because it's using this week's sketch #260. View the sketch here.
This is my daughter and 2 of her friends after summer soccer camp this past year. They had a ton of fun. I used the Scraptastic club Blue Skies kit along with some Moxxie soccer patterned paper and rub-ons. I just loved the combo of blue and yellow here and then the added black and white Moxxie just really sets it off. My daughter even approved of the layout. :) Here's a few close-ups and details for you:
These rub-ons are SO easy to apply. I've always liked rub-ons but had such a hard time with so many different brands not applying like they should. You will NOT run into that problem with Moxxie's rub-ons, they go on smooth and easy.
I loved this Heidi Swapp starred paper for my base and just went from there. I did a lot of inking to help define lines between patterns and colors. I added lines and the Happy Place stamp to the yellow flag in this first photo.
I added some more Jillibean Soup flags along the bottom of the photo here, along with a soccer brad that my friend gave me (Thanks!). I fell in love with this soccer ball with stars coming out from behind it. There were a couple of smaller ones and I wanted to just put them all on, but I held myself back. lol
I did a little bit of stitching on the photos, as shown in the sketch, with the twine provided in the kit. Then I used a toothpick from my kitchen cupboard to make a flag with one of the Jillibean Soup stickers.
I also added some glam rocks from Imaginisce. I just got them at the Original Scrapbook USA Expo I attended and couldn't wait to use them!
At this point I was thinking I was done, when my daughter made a comment about how the photo backgrounds blended together to make it look like one photo. So I added the white paint marker line around the photo on the left to help define the boundary.
I would love to read your comments and if you like what you see, please become a follower with the tab to the right. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)Ange

The die cuts and stickers have customized quotes and expressions to help you capture the action on the ice! To have a chance to win, you need to:
- Follow the hop through all ten participating blogs, check out the beautiful work of the Moxxie Muses, and leave a comment for each of them.
- Comments will close at midnight CST on Tuesday, April 9th.
- Winner will be announced the next day on the Moxxie blog.
- International fans are welcomed to play along if they agree to pay shipping in the event of their win.
My friend was nice enough to share this team photo of her husband's hockey team with me. (She is on the team this year but didn't have a team photo with her in it :( I had SO much fun adding red dylusions spray to this! I can't believe how much it looks like blood. (sorry if it grosses anyone out, but we are talking hockey here lol).
I am super excited with the way this turned out and can't wait to see my friend's reaction!
I have more detailed photos and a supply list below. But just in case you've not finished the hop, here is the list for you again. Good luck! I know you will LOVE this line!!!
Ready to hop?!! Here is your hop sequence... on your mark, get set --- GO!

I started off with my background paper, picked a lighter one to mat the photo with, but scrunched and smashed it and then spritzed it with passport spray to give it a more roughed up look. I did a lot with the title letters (described below), then hung them on some twine tied to some loop brads. I LOVE the hockey player in the bottom left corner but wanted him to come at you a bit more so I added a little glossy accents to his outline. Then I layered some die-cuts and stickers, added a little washi tape, faux stitching under the 2012 and finished it off with a tag that slides under the photo for my friend to add her own journaling. Then went around the whole layout with some black ink.
When I started this I wasn't sure the dylusions would take to the glossy finish of the letters the way I wanted, but why not try, right? So I sprayed them, watched it puddle in spots, but decided to let it dry to see what effect I got. That is the top left photo. I wanted something darker to match the team uniform better, so I sanded the letters a little with an emery board; top left. Then I laid them flat on my blue ink pad and rubbed them around for the final look, which made me happy. My fingers are a little blue, but I really like the look I got. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!

Style...
which got me in the mood for a little more weaving. So I created this layout:
My little guy has a funny sense of style. I think the dvd case for a hat is my favorite (he has broken many cases, so I better enjoy something about this right?) I started with my photo, picked a background paper and then a couple scraps that I could cut up for weaving. I ended up using 10- 1 inch strips, then I loosely weaved them for a messy or crazy look. I added a lot of details including wet embossing, dry embossing, ink, gems and distressed photo edges. Here's a couple close-ups and a supply list below. Hope you have fun using up your great scraps! :)Ange
