Party at the Pole

 Hello Moxxie fans!
My fellow Muses have shown you lots of fun ideas using this cute line and today I wanted to show you a traditional layout that I made.
This is my youngest getting into trouble, he's a professional at only 3! Proud mama here. lol The title die-cut was the inspiration for this whole page. I knew I had these photos of my son breaking into the presents early and pulled them out to make this adorable layout.

I wanted to emphasize the torn present here, so I looked for a background paper that would make you think of presents. This Deck the Halls paper with hanging ornaments gave the feel of being under the tree, then I tore some Toy Shoppe and used the B side behind the photos and used scraps of Deck the Halls and Snow Friends to 'pop up' behind the title area and make you think of more presents.
I wanted a lot of dimension too, so I fussy cut the ornaments from another sheet and stacked them using foam adhesive, then used twine to 'hang' them from the top of the page. To finish them off, I tied little bows and added them to the top of each ornament.

All of the cute die-cuts make it super easy to spruce up your layout with little effort. A little inking, doodling and stickles brings it all to life.

On the tree die-cut I added glossy accents to the lights that weren't red and red stickles over the red ones. I also used the backside of the candy cane die-cut, just for fun.

I used a border punch for the bows along the tops of my "presents" and then layered some die-cuts for the title. I think my favorite part is the 'naughty' little elf peeking out behind the title.  I outlined the word 'naughty' and added glossy accents and then crossed out nice. There really isn't a question here.

Thanks so much for coming by! :)Ange

Turkeys

Hi there!
I have a layout made using a Nuts sketch for you today. I had to tweak the layout a little to fit my pictures and then I moved around the embellie placement a bit, but I think you can still see the sketch in there.

These photos are of my youngest and my brother sporting this ridiculous turkey hat last Thanksgiving. My brother cracks me up! And my son just loves hats, so you knew he was going to try it on at some point. I love that he posed for me so much. lol

Here I used a combination of Moxxie's Shades of Autumn and Forever Family lines. They go so well together! I hand cut the little turkey from scraps, inked a lot (surprised?), added some WRMK washi (so cute!) and some stickles. Thanks so much for coming by today!

clean, scrape, Taste!

HI! I can't believe we're on to the November Scrap Our Stash challenge already. This year has really flown by. But we have a super fun challenge for you this month: Tear it! Yep, it's that easy. Here's my layout:
I really dug for these papers. I'm not even sure if this kit is from last year, two years ago or... you get the idea. But I still love the papers and don't they look great with those pics of my little guy? Those pictures were from my stash too. lol  Here I decided to do a lot of tearing, mostly the patterned paper but as you can see I tore my main photo and my journaling block also. Why not? Just go for it.
I also did some inking on the pp's and over the top of the pumpkin garland along the bottom. It was brighter than I wanted so I added some brown ink to tone it down a bit.
I would love to see your take on this challenge this month. So don't forget to go by the SOS blog and send in what you've made with a little or a lot of tearing. Have fun! :)Ange

The project I have to share with you today is a Nuts About Sketches layout using Moxxie's Shades of Autumn:
I just really love these papers and was so excited to use them. Don't you think they're gorgeous? And these fun photos of my husband and youngest son with the fall leaves go so well with them.
I added one more photo than the sketch called for and made mine a little smaller. I also switched up the title area and did lots of inking on my paper edges. Love! The stickers from the Moxxie line made it super easy to embellish, then I added some baker's twine, leaves and jewels from my stash and some rub-on sewing stitches.
The sketch I used is posted below along with a product list. Thanks for stopping by (don't forget to comment for a chance to WIN!) and sharing in my fun news! Off you go to  Tomi Anne.

Forever Family Moxxie blog hop

Are you ready for another fun Moxxie blog hop?  For November we are focusing on the Forever Family line.

This amazing color palette is perfect for family portraits, heritage photos, and even a pretty fall-themed layout! The front sides of the paper are title papers for each member of the family, and the back sides have a variety of both masculine and feminine patterns for you to use to accent your photos. Card makers and papercrafters the designs are small, so even on a cut down piece of paper, you are still going to get the colors and textures of the large design.

In addition to these great papers, the embellishments will help give your creations a family-type flair. Use them as titles, journaling spaces, accent pieces, and embellishment clusters to finish off your pages.

The Moxxie Muses have put together some awesome ideas for this line and you could WIN the collection.  All you have to do is hop through the blogs and comment on each one.  For an extra entry, comment on the Facebook page and "like" us if you have not already.  How simple is that?   Comments need to be made by midnight Tuesday November 6th and the winner will be announced on Wednesday the 7th on the Moxxie Blog.  Our international customers and fans are free to play along if you are willing to pay the shipping if you are the winner of the prize.

Today I have a project for you. I've been wanting to make one of these for awhile now but was really struggling with finding the right papers. Enter Moxxie! I was planning to give this as a gift to my sister so the sister paper and quotes were perfect for my project.

This was really quite simply to put together. I bought the cork on an after school sale and had my husband cut the 12x12 wood for me from a leftover shelving project.

1- I started with painting all the sides and back with an off white paint
2- Added the paper with modpodge and scraped out all the bubbles with a plastic card
3- I sanded the edges and then resealed them with modpodge, then add the cork, and pick and add your favorite quotes, stickers and die-cuts
4- put screws in the back for a wire to hang it and for the decorative knob on the bottom. Add some pretty ribbon to the wire and a little doodling on the quote sticker.

The longest part of this project was waiting for the modpodge to dry. I gave it a lot of drying time to be sure everything was really on there. Here's a couple close ups for you.

We are so happy to have you joining us and hope you enjoy the projects we have made.

I'm the last stop on your hop today. There's a list of blogs below in case you missed any. Thanks so much for hopping along with us a Moxxie and good luck!
