Here's my layout for Monday's week 180 sketch:
Some fun July Fourth pictures of my family. :)
I stuck pretty close to the sketch and used some cute Echo Park papers. The stitches across the circle are hand drawn, the 'fireworks' coming out of the photo are from a chipboard flourishes package I had sitting around and I added some embellishment pins to the title area. Love that because I always forget to pull those little things out. I stapled the ball fringe on and the stickers are puffies I picked up from walmart awhile back.
Here's the sketch

Volleyball
Scrap Our Stash Sept Grid challenge
Do you ever have those days/moments when you totally over think something? I definitely did that with this challenge. Finally I just made myself grab some photos and start.
I picked some less than stellar photos, but ones that I knew I wanted to scrap because they're the only ones I have of this event and just started cutting. The background paper is one of those colored core ones that came embossed so I sanded it to show the design, assembled my title down the left side, matted my main photo, added the others where I wanted them, then cut the patterned paper squares to fit in the holes, added some embellies and stickers and done.
This is my daughter and her teammates in a volleyball tournament last year. They did great and had a lot of fun. Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you. :)

Twice the fun!
Yep, I've got 2 for you today! It's Monday, so that means I've got a fabulous Nuts sketch for you. Here's my take on it:
We took this photo at a local zoo this summer. As is typical, mom wanted a good photo and the kids wanted a silly one. I find that I always get my best photo before or after the promised silly photo, so why not?
I used some of my new Fancy Pants Summer's End line for this and it was just so fun putting it all together. I used a big mix of products; rub-ons, chipboard, design embellies and of course the totally cute patterned paper. I used my border punch for the bottom orange pp, added the orange polka dot ribbon from my stash, pop dotted a few elements and inked all my edges with charcoal.
The 2nd sketch I have today is from What's Scrapping? Amy put together a fun sketch for us and this is what I came up with:
Last year my son was old enough to enjoy a bit of the pumpkin carving. So as I was doing a pumpkin for him we let him take a look at it. Journaling says: Jayse was totally into his pumpkin. He wanted to look in, feel it and then he made his scary face. (I didn't imitate well)
Here I used some more of my new goodies, but this is the new Halloween line from Best Creations. I used my border punch for the bottom of the pp, my own orange cs and inked with black. Everything else is stickers from the BC cardstock sticker sheet. Gotta love simple!

lil Monster and Softball
It's Monday! And that means I have a Nuts sketch for you. This week's sketch was a 2-pager, great as 2 or either side for a 1 page layout. I chose to use the left side to do this layout:
I used some new Best Creations Halloween line that I won from their blog give away a bit ago. (They are so generous!) I used the basic layout of the sketch but replaced the bottom right photo with journaling and embellies and added alphas for my title from my stash.
This is my son and husband rolling around the living room floor. My lil Monster had a ball!
Now go check out the sketch and other dt member's examples and add your own with the link at the bottom of the post. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Go here.
I also have a Scrap Our Stash reveal for you. This is for the monthly Pagerize challenge. You can find all the details here . You can join the pagerize challenge too!
I decided to use the basic design of Julie's layout. I don't have a lot of softball themed papers but I've picked up stickers and embellishments here and there. So I decided to use regular kraft cs for my background and a large grid stamp for the matte behind the main photo, because I liked Julie's use of stamps. After that I started adding embellishments and stickers. The cord for the 'play hard' slider came off of some clothing tags from my daughter's school pants we just bought, I stapled the cord into place and added my stickers.
Some of them needed a little more pop, so I broke out the white pen and went to work on the game day sticker and word Softball by adding some hand drawn stitching, and some "speed" lines behind the stars and bat. I didn't have a lot of journaling to add so I just wrote who, where, when on one of the bottom photos. I really loved that Julie's stamps had a doodled look to them and I felt like my layout needed a border. So I drew softball stitches around the layout. It was super fun pagerizing Julie's layout!
This also fits the favorite photo challenge at TPV. These are definitely some of my favorite photos from this past summer.

Play Ball!
This was a super fun, super fast layout! And I used some of my favorite embellishments, cardstock stickers!!!
About my son Brayden playing baseball this past summer. He's such an active little guy it's fun to watch him jump around all excited. When he runs in to home plate, if he's not sliding unnecessarily, he's doing a little jump twist off of it. So fun!
They're having a little crop at Scrapdango and I decided to get in on the fun. So this challenge was for their PE class. The requirements were to use an action photo, circle and something to convey motion, with extra credit for getting the word team in there somewhere.
I used photos of Brayden playing ball, plenty of circles, "action" lines behind the ball up top and an arrow to move you across the page. Plus I got the extra credit "team" in there. Then I just had a blast with my white pen, adding lines here and there to highlight things and move the eye around the lo, and my latest favorite of ball stitches around the edge of the layout.

Nice Throw
I've got another NAS sketch for you! I changed this sketch a little by adding another photo and flipping the main elements from the left to the right side.
This is all one patterned paper. I cut the top off and flipped it, then cut the circle out and flipped it, added a little cs to the seams in the back and done. The blue was a little bright still so I added some black ink here and there, inked my paper edges, added the twill with staples and black pearl dots below the twill. The title was one that had 2 parts to most of the letters, so I laid down both parts and then added black stickles over the inside piece. Then I inked and added my journaling along with my embellies.
These are more photos from our day at the zoo. It was so cute seeing my hubby hold my son up so he could throw the fish food farther into the water. What a great daddy!

Summer Days
Summer days is made using a 2 page sketch from Nuts About Sketches. You can find the sketch and a lot more examples here.
This layout is of my family at a small local zoo, just enjoying an easy Sunday. (Didn't have too many of those this summer)
As you can see I pretty much stuck with the sketch. I mixed products from all areas of my messy scrap table for this one. :) Did a lot of tearing and black inking. Hope you enjoy!
