New Years Eve

Hi! I today I'm using my Jan kit from Scrapbook Circle and I've used their Technique challenge for my title.
The challenge was Ransom note, the kit was perfect because of the fun washi tape it had.

I also used a sketch from the Jan sketch challenge at Scrap With Us.

You can see my Ransom note title here. I added some pen doodling over some of the letters, I think it gives is a more ransom feel.
I used 4 different pps from the kit on this layout.

Then I just thumbed through all of the fun embellies adding here and there where it felt right.

#Happy and XO

I have 2 layouts to share with you today. Let's get right to it.

I created this using a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy and an old kit I had in my stash.

I had a lot of fun getting messy with my inks. It always makes me happy to see my fingers all colored up.

I added a bit of edge punching and lots of fun embellies to spruce it up.

Next up:

Utilizing another older kit here, I used another sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, too.
My friend was teasing me for using pink on my little boy's layout, but I have to say; pink, to me, says innocence, sweetness and love. I definitely feel all of that here in these photos.

This layout screamed for a large title and these big letters fit the bill perfectly.

I had fun embellishing and adding my little x's and o's around the outside for the perfect border.

Twinkled

Today my layout that I'm sharing with you is based on a sketch from Sketches in Thyme.

Play along for your chance to win a fun prize package!

When I first attached my title I accidentally left out the N. Normally I would just rearrange everything until it fit but this time I had outlined my letters with black pen to help them stand out. To solve my problem I laid down 2 strips of washi tape to put my title on and then outlined it again. Fixed!

I really love the way the red and green ink splatters look against the kraft back ground.

This cute chipboard piece was the perfect addition for my layout. I'm not sure how long it's been in my stash, but I love it!

Thanks!

Do not open

Hello, I've been trying to get more scrapping done lately and I did pretty good this past week, so here's another layout to share:

For this layout I used another kit I got from Scrapbook Circle Nov's Good Cheer.
Such a fun kit!
I followed this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

I changed a little but you can easily see the sketch in my layout.

The layers and embellies were really fun to play with.

My favorite part was this little mouse. He was just perfect to have up there sniffing around early on the morning of Christmas.
I'm also entering this into a Paper Issues challenge.

Yum

Today I'm sharing a layout I made to go along with Scrapbook Circle's challenge of Calendar Trends.
I also used their Jan. Fresh Start kit.

I started with a white back ground and added a piece of the calendar pattern from the kit, along with another pattern along the top and that yummy washi tape along the bottom.
I was following this sketch:

I had a lot of fun making the sketch mine with the fun cork embellies from the kit.

I added a bit more embellishment than the sketch had and I think it really balances my layout.

The not so Silent Night

Hello there!
This cute layout was so fun to put together.

I love using irony and sarcasm in my daily life and scrapbooking, so titles like this one "The not so Silent Night" make me laugh.
For this layout I used a sketch from Stick it Down, but I turned it on it's side and changed the title area and where I added my journaling.

Here's a closeup of the title and that Special Delivery sticker is perfect for marshmallow wars, right?

At first glance you might think this whole layout is about the cute little boy in his underwear and while my focus was on him and all the fun he was having throwing marshmallows, when you look closely you see a back story.
The story of a teenage girl who decides to target her mother when the camera is up and she won't notice a marshmallow coming straight at here. I thought the naughty and nice stickers attached to the arrow stickers were great for pointing out these details that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.

When adding the washi tape over the polka dot pattern it was a bit difficult to see. To help it stand out I added another layer directly over the top of the first.

I also used this layout for a challenge at Scrap with Us. The challenge was to create a 1 or 2 page layout about a celebration of any kind using 2 or more photos. Join us on the Scrap with Us board and play along with all of the challenges!
