You should be here from Rhonda Van Ginkel's blog. If you just happened upon my blog today, thanks for stopping in and you can find the start of the hop here, Moxxie.
Hello Moxxie fans! This month we are featuring one of our brand new collections Quite Contrary. So dig out your garden photos and get ready because the Muses will be planting some great ideas in your creative minds for this beautiful line of papers and stickers.
The blend of muted tones is perfect for outdoor garden photo pages. And if your thumb is not so green you can create fabulous cards and/or home decor projects.
Here is my project for the hop:
My son just loves picking flowers and bringing them to me. It's so cute and that little grin... I tell you, this little guy has me totally wrapped around his little finger. I have close-ups and details below, but here's the rest of the hop details, so you can be sure to finish.
If you are familiar with the Moxxie Blog Hops then you know you can have a chance to win this brand new line. All you have to do is leave a comment on all of the following blogs. International fans are welcome to play along if they agree to pay shipping in the event they win. Comments can be made until Midnight Tuesday, August 6th and the winner will be announced on the Moxxie Blog on Wednesday, August 7th! Enjoy!
Got Moxxie
I had a lot of fun putting this layout together. I fussy cut some of the seed packets out to tuck beneath the top right corner of my photo after inking them for a used feel. I added some glam rocks for photo corners. I love the purple paper in this line so I used it for the mat of my photo and distressed it.
I wanted to use this lil sprout banner so I added it along with some other banners along the bottom of the photo. I also distressed all the pp edges that I could. Love the dimension it adds!
I wanted my title here but had already used the less busy pps & didn't want to just add it to the background of the layout, so I went with the seed packet pattern and a bold title with the brackets working as arrows and then I outlined each letter & bracket in the title with a brown marker. It's hard to see it here, but it made my title stand out against the busy pattern below. I also used the little flower banner triangles as arrows to help lead the eye to the title.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck!!
