just like Brother w/ Kreaxions

Hello! It's DT Reveal day over at Just Imagine/Kreaxions punches!
The theme for today is Sparkle!!

This will be the last Kreaxions reveal you see from me as I'm stepping down from the dt, but wish my fellow dt members all good things in the future.

This layout is about my 2 sons and how the younger one just really idolizes his older brother. There is a 6 year gap between them and it often creates tension between them. So it's nice to see them playing and getting along together.
I chose the beautiful Season's Greetings line from Moxxie for this page.

I did a lot of layering so I could use the beautiful #312 Snowflake punch a lot and in different ways.
For the darker green layer I used the punch w/o any inserts to get the deep punch with both snowflakes and pretty corner punch. Then I used the punch with the A insert for the cream paper and the punched out snowflakes as embellishment. Going with our theme of sparkle, I've added lots of stickles and pearls for snowflake centers.

I did the same deep punch with the lighter green layer here as I used with the darker green layer but I lined the corner punch outs up so that the bottom piece fell away after going across the paper. I also use the punch on the corners of my photo w/ the C insert.

For this corner piece and under my photos I've created large snowflakes or doilies by punching circles with the punch.

Then I filled in the snowflakes with more stickles for a fun and sparkly layout.
Check out what the rest of the DT has done on the Kreaxions blog.
I hope you all have a fabulous New Year ahead!

Oh Snow

 Hey there!
Today I have a fun layout to show you.
I did this layout to fit some fun challenges out there and it turned out awesome.

This crazy photo of my son was so fun to scrap using the blue challenge from My Scraps and More, it was perfect for the photo and I managed to keep it Christmas-y by using particular elements from a Simple Stories line that was in my stash.

I also used the Mixed Media challenge from Jen Taylor at Birds of a Feather and added lots of misting. You can't see all of it in the photos, but here you can see the blue and white dylusions. I added a clear shimmer as well that is a fun element to see in person, but not very photographic (at least not with my photo skills).

This wood veneer has Silent Night on it but was very difficult to see, so I turned it over and added stickers for my date.

My title was actually supplied by my husband (I know, right?!). This has been the running joke in the family lately. It definitely made me laugh when he suggested it and it fit the photo perfectly.
My entire layout was based on a fun sketch from Scrapbook Circle and the Dec challenge from Paper Issues.

Life w/ Sketches in Thyme

Hey there! It's reveal day for me over at Sketches In Thyme.
Right now we are using this fun sketch from Bev Code:

And here is my take on it:

These photos are of my youngest playing in the snow. They are just so cute waddling around out there trying not to fall over because their snow clothes are so big and stiff on them.
He had so much fun!

I kept to the same basic design of the sketch but made small adjustments to fit my needs.

Using a white pen on the dark purple was a fun way to add a bit of journaling. It makes me think of the snow.

Using different fonts and product in my title was fun and made it much more interesting.

Fall Ball is in the Air

Hello!
I have a fun Fall layout out for you today:

I've used Moxxie's Fall Harvest line along with the fun 918 punch from Just Imagine Kreaxions.

I added another banner with the word "Ball" to make my title.

Lots of banners peeking out from beneath my photo make for some added interest.
I also used the pretty 918 punch along the edge of my photo. It's a great way to add a bit of embellishment w/o taking away from the photo at all.

You can see more fun examples from the Just Imagine/Kreaxions team here.

To eat or not to Eat... w/ Sketches in Thyme

Hey! Today is my first reveal day with Sketches In Thyme
and I am super excited to show you the fun sketch I got to use and the fabulous layout I made using it.

Here's the great sketch by Brenda Ragsdale:

Super fun and easy to use design!
Here's my layout:

My little guy is always so fun and entertaining! He's always being clever and bringing a smile to everyone's face. You know the kids are going to snack a little while decorating their gingerbread house, who wouldn't right? But his bright pink lips just cracked me up! I'm not even sure what he had that was such a bright pink.

I started off with a kraft base which I figured was perfect for the gingerbread layout, but the background was a tad plain so I used my white dylusions to drip "snow" splatters on the layout to go with the winter/xmas feel of the layout.

I used the awesome new Season's Greetings line from Moxxie and just had a ball picking the different patterns to go on my background.

As I was looking at my photos the title came to me: to eat or not to eat and I just started laughing, thinking what a silly question that would be for a kid with candy in front of them. Thus, my title was born and I love it! I used Moxxie's cool red alpha and some super old rub-ons (go me!).
I finished up my layout with some brown inking, cute Moxxie stickers and these fun brad embellishments I've had forever but never had the "right" layout to put them on.

All Star Player w/ MS&M

 Hello!
Today is sketchy Friday!!
I am a HUGE sketch fan. They make the scrapping process so fun and easy.
Today I'm using this sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches:

Here is my take on this fun sketch:

I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch this girl play!
Over the years she has evolved it to one heck of a good player. She really loves the game and has so much fun on the court. Her happiness makes me smile.

As you can see I rearranged the sketch a bit to go with my photos, which then changed where I put the title. But you can definitely see the sketch still.

I splashed a bit of blue and yellow dylusions on my white background to get started. Then used Moxxie's Volleyball line and black alphas.

I finished up with a blue and yellow hand drawn marker border. It just didn't feel finished w/o it.

Leaf Pile w/ Kreaxions

 Hello!
Today is the Just Imagine/Kreaxions design team monthly reveal with the theme of Back to School or Fall.
I chose to go with Fall for my layout:

I started with a dark brown base and added this lovely Fall orange border paper from Moxxie's new Fall Harvest line and punched it with punch #307. I love the way the dark brown comes through the punched design.

In the photo above you can see how lovely the colors are together. I also used a strip of green punched border to go under my photos.

Here's a few more closeups of my layout.

Fall w/ My Scraps & More Sketches

Hello! Today is sketchy Friday with this fab sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches:

And here is my take on it:

I can't think of anything more entertaining to do with leaves than watch your kids pile them up and jump in them. They were having so much fun this day!

I stuck fairly close to the sketch on this layout.

Since there wasn't any suggested areas for embellishment I just added them wherever I felt like it.

I had these cute chipboard letters that I hadn't used at all so I put them to work here.

As you can see I made my grids larger than on the sketch and instead of adding patterned paper here, I went with a cluster of embellishments. I think it was the perfect touch for this layout.

Discover layout w/ MS&M and LMT

 Hey! It's sketchy Friday!!!
Today's sketch from My Scraps & More is awesome!
And it was totally screaming for Love My Tapes, so I put them both to work.

 And my layout:

I pulled out a white piece of cardstock, grabbed my tapes and got busy.

I followed the sketch with the Brick Tape, but I used 2 layers side by side to make it wider. Then I added the Colorful Bold Dots tape. After getting those on I decided to go off the sketch a bit and added my third strip out on it's own.

I took the Sky or Clouds w/ Love tape and laid it out on my cutting mat. Then I used a ruler and my cutting knife to slice it the long way. I took the thin strips and added them in each square of my layout. I did beveled corners because I like the way they look.

I added faux stitching along the side of the Clouds tape to keep the fun look it gave the sketch.

To finish up, add some fun embellishments, a bit of blue splatters, enamel dots and cute stickers.
You can check out what the rest of the dt did with this sketch on the My Scraps & More sketch blog and then join in the fun for your chance at the awesome prize!

Snapshots w/ Kreaxions

Today is the Design Team August Reveal for Kreaxions!
The theme we are following this month is bright, summer or vacation.
I managed to get a little of all three in mine.

This is my youngest daughter at the beach. We went camping and got a day at the beach too, it was so much fun!

Use your circle cutter to make a 5 inch half circle. Then I used the B insert for punch #905 to create the background for my title.

One of my favorite ways to make my photos really "pop" is to use punches on them. Here I used the same punch (#905) in the corner of my photo. I just turned the whole thing over so I could see exactly where I was punching my photo.
Here's a couple more close-ups of my project:

Gooey w/ LMT

 Hello!
I feel summer coming to a close and I'm not quite ready.
I've not done enough "summer" things yet, like camping!

But I do have this fun page I made of my little guy enjoying a s'more on a camping trip we took a couple summers ago.
It's super easy and fun to replace pp or design elements on your page with tapes.

Here I've used Mint w/ Love from Love My Tapes as a patterned paper element. I thought it would be great to represent how much my son enjoyed his s'mores. I've also used it along the top as a design element to highlight the title of my page.

Then I used the skull tape to add a bit of rough and tumble to my layout w/o overwhelming it.
I used a gooey drip punch along the bottom border of my journaling paper. It was sold at Halloween, but it's perfect for gooey messes!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
