My Girl

It's time for another NAS layout. This was originally a 2page layout, but since I'm more of a single page type gal, I just used the right side and turned it a 1/4 turn so I could use this photo.

This is my sweet girl Shylee. She's growing up way too fast for me and I'm struggling to keep up. Do you think sitting on her would slow her down any? It's worth a shot at least right? I'll let you know if it works. lol

Here I used the August Scraptastic kit. Perfect for this photo! I've been trying to find the "perfect" papers for this photo for some time now and I just love how this turned out.
Everything is from the kit except the round paper that I used shimmer mist to mask a hexagon pattern (my first time using hexagons & it fits the Aug challenge at Scraptastic!) on and then inked the other side of the 'left-over' paper to use for punching the butterflies. I did a lot of inking, pop-dotted the 100% sweet ribbon, added bling and stickles, inked the title letters with blue and even did a little sewing. Go me!

Don't forget there's even more examples and the sketch itself on Shawn's blog: here. Hope you enjoy this layout as much as I do. It's definitely one of my favs. :)Ange

  6. Love this pretty LO! The circle is the perfect size to bracket the photo and leave room for a striking title and a cascade of butterflies.

  8. What a great page!! Love the colors! and what a beautiful daughter you have! (and I'm guessing that sitting on her doesn't stop her growing, LOL! When my dd was 12 she stopped growing; she's now 15 and just perfect :):):) )
