It's Monday! And that means I have a Nuts sketch for you. This week's sketch was a 2-pager, great as 2 or either side for a 1 page layout. I chose to use the left side to do this layout:
I used some new Best Creations Halloween line that I won from their blog give away a bit ago. (They are so generous!) I used the basic layout of the sketch but replaced the bottom right photo with journaling and embellies and added alphas for my title from my stash.
This is my son and husband rolling around the living room floor. My lil Monster had a ball!
Now go check out the sketch and other dt member's examples and add your own with the link at the bottom of the post. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Go here.
I also have a Scrap Our Stash reveal for you. This is for the monthly Pagerize challenge. You can find all the details here . You can join the pagerize challenge too!
I decided to use the basic design of Julie's layout. I don't have a lot of softball themed papers but I've picked up stickers and embellishments here and there. So I decided to use regular kraft cs for my background and a large grid stamp for the matte behind the main photo, because I liked Julie's use of stamps. After that I started adding embellishments and stickers. The cord for the 'play hard' slider came off of some clothing tags from my daughter's school pants we just bought, I stapled the cord into place and added my stickers.
Some of them needed a little more pop, so I broke out the white pen and went to work on the game day sticker and word Softball by adding some hand drawn stitching, and some "speed" lines behind the stars and bat. I didn't have a lot of journaling to add so I just wrote who, where, when on one of the bottom photos. I really loved that Julie's stamps had a doodled look to them and I felt like my layout needed a border. So I drew softball stitches around the layout. It was super fun pagerizing Julie's layout!
This also fits the favorite photo challenge at TPV. These are definitely some of my favorite photos from this past summer.
excellent layouts! I love how you did the border for the baseball one :)
