NAS Birthday sketch #4

Day 4 here we GO! Gotta tell ya, I'm not really a fan of the two pagers, but I LOVED this sketch:

Just loved the geometric look of it, so fun!!

And here's my take on it:

My baby boy LOVES being outside (based on the temper tantrums he throws when he has to come in) and loves his little car just as much. He makes the cutest motor sound ever. :)
So I was seriously happy to come across these Fancy Pants papers I'd bought awhile ago and put them to use.
They had great primary colors over the kraft background and it just so happened that the jacket my son has on goes great with his car, so I picked red cardstock for the base. I didn't have 5x7 photos for this, so I just used 2 4x6's that I cropped for the main 5x7 on the right hand side, grouping them with the brackets instead of a photo matte and just used the one 4x6 on the left. Then added a little decoration to that side to balance the layout. I inked the bare cardstock and title letters with a charcoal cats eye ink and hand drew a road along the bottom for a little more fun.

There's lots more examples for this sketch on the Nuts About Sketches blog. Don't forget to link your creation based on this sketch or any of the other Birthday sketches for your chance to win a kit!!
