Brrr

I tell you, this little guy totally has me wrapped around his finger. I am in big trouble.
But at least I know his cute sense of humor will keep me entertained.

I had a lot of fun using a sketch from Let's Scrap for this layout. The sketch was actually for a card but it was really easy to turn into a layout.

I used a dark background so I could mist some white dylusions spray on it for a snowy feel, tore a bit of the light blue pp from Moxxie's Winterland line for the outer edge.

Then had fun layering hearts cut with my silhouette from different papers from the line.

I finished up with some of the super cute hexagons, die-cuts and some wood veneer snowflakes I've had hanging out in my stash.

Stay warm!

Gamer w/ NAS

 Hello!
It's NAS Monday and I had FUN with this layout. lol

My daughter bought me some fun scrapbook products for Xmas so I dug into them for this layout. My little guy was obsessed with my sister's Ipad when she was visiting. You could hardly get him to put it down. As you can see in the photo on the right, he would give you a smile, but there's was no eye contact.

I stuck really close to the sketch but added a bit of misting to the background before starting. The rings are just ink daubed on the end of a toilet paper roll and then put to the background.

I love the washi tape she gave me, such a fun pattern and I used it to go around my entire layout, then added a few more for fun.

I think my favorite part was when I was putting the title on and realized how much some of the periods, asterisks and other symbols looked like gaming features. So I went for it and have some pretty unique embellishments!

Here's the sketch:

No! w/ Simple Stories

Today's fun layout was made for a challenge over at Memorable Seasons.
The challenge is to pair an unexpected color with others on your layout.

This cute Snow Fun line from Simple Stories does that for you. You just don't expect this green to be in a line of blues, grays and whites, but it sure does look good and catch the eye.

This layout is about my daughter who did not want to build a snowman but did tunnel under the snow to make her own snow cave. The bottom photo shows her crawling into her cave. I didn't get a photo of how big it was but she fit in just fine.

With that fun green I was able to make my main photo stand out really easily and then added a few of the cute word stickers from the line around it.

I'm not a big fan of ribbon but I did like this really big gray with white polka dots and used it for layers across my layout. Then I added my journaling over it. The journaling card in the kit had more around it but I wanted the white edges to help it stand out, so I cut that part off.

Finish it off with some fun layered banners and cute stickers.

A New adventure

Hello!
I did a bit of playing yesterday and here is the fun layout that came from it.

My little guy had his first big "adventure" sleeping out in our backyard in a tent. He was so excited! I actually caught a photo of him fist pumping because he couldn't contain himself. lol So funny!

I used a sketch from Scrapbook Circle and just started layering all these fun elements, after adding a bit of White dylusions to the background.

My title was a prompt from a Frosted Designs challenge. I used Moxxie's new alphas and then outlined them with a brown marker to make the title really pop.

Volleyball Playah! w/ Moxxie & NAS

Hello!
Today I have a super fun 2 page layout for you:

My daughter with some of her friends a summer ago at a fund raising volleyball tournament. They had so much fun, even though the weather was SO hot.

My layout is based on this fun sketch from Nuts About Sketches:

And I used the awesome Volleyball line from Moxxie.

I'm not normally a 2page scrapper, so when I do scrap them, I tend to stick pretty closely to the sketch provided.

I didn't have a large photo to use, so in the place of the 5x7 I used 2 4x6's that I just cut down a bit to fit the area better.

I used 4 photos along the bottom left and cut out the unnecessary portions of the photos. This sketch was super fun and easy to use. And the Volleyball line from Moxxie is definitely my favorite Volleyball line EVER!
Have a great day.

Discover w/ Moxxie

I am so excited to share this with you today!

I really love this gorgeous Springtime line from Moxxie! The colors are fabulous and the butterflies are so fun!!

This is my little guy enjoying a day at Baby Animal Days at a nearby farm.
What better way to document spring babies than with a gorgeous spring line? And his face in that top photo was just too cute to pass up.

I did a lot of fussy cutting for this layout.

I started with the backside of In Bloom for my base, punched and layered the butterfly portion of Butterfly Garden and the back of Springtime Cutouts.

I used the back of Dandelion Wishes to back my photos and the Turquoise alpha for my title.

I popped all the butterflies up with foam adhesive to add a little bit of fluttery fun. Then finished up with a few of the cardstock stickers.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Be Crazy, Just Run w/ Moxxie & NAS

I have the awesome and NEW Fun Run line from Moxxie to show you today!!

http://www.gotmoxxie.com/site/index.php?cPath=258_265

Lots of the Moxxie muses have been having fun working with this line and it was VERY popular at the #cha2015 show, but what I noticed is that most of them were doing color run layouts using the Covered in Color paper. So I decided to go a different route. I wanted to see if I could combine all of the papers in the line into one page.

I used this fabulous sketch #352 from Nuts About Sketches and came up with this:

Every patterned paper from the line is on there somewhere!

I used Just Run for my base, the yellow is the B side of the cutouts and I've also used it along the top for borders.

Here I've used the Mud Run paper (there's a little up at the top too) to ground my elements under the photo. I layered some of the cardstock stickers and popped my photo up with dimensional adhesive. I used a bit of Covered in Color paper also, its the mat for my photo!

To help my title stand out more I just outlined it with a black pen. I've really enjoyed the new Alphas from Moxxie. I love how well they match the lines. You can layer them on at the very end to blend in perfectly with your design.

Don't forget to ask your favorite retailers to get these great lines!
Head to the Moxxie blog to see what my fellow design team members have made with the other NEW lines. Oh and sign up to WIN one while you're there!

Queen of the Crop line!

The colors are perfect for the creatively inclined and the patterns are totally fussy cut-able!
Check out my layout

I used Crop Til U Drop for my base, then had so much fun layering and fussy cutting elements to add to my layout.

I fussy cut the pattern from the back of another Crop Til U Drop for the mat under my photo, then layered it onto a portion of Scrap Diva with dimensional adhesive.

I layered Queen of the Crop Cutouts and stickers along the top. Then added some dimensional adhesive near the bottom of this banner to pop it up.

Fussy cutting these gorgeous scissors took some time but it was totally worth it!

NAS Monday

 Hello!
Today is Nuts About Sketches day.
Shawn has provided this fabulous 2 page sketch:

And I chose to do the left side of it with some pictures of the cute cake my daughter decorated for her dad's 40th birthday.

My mom enjoys baking goodies and my daughter had so much fun decorating this with all of the things my husband was into that year. Crossfit and running, I think she got it all, including a fun reference to a popular song at the time. lol

This Christmas the same daughter gave me some fun scrapping goodies that I put to use on this layout.

All of these cute patterns are from the pad she gave me. I used brown ink to keep with the kraft look of the papers, then added a few glam rocks for a bit more fun.

Check out what the rest of the design team has created on the Nuts About Sketches blog.
