Sleepy Boyz

Hello!
My layout today is about a couple of the guys in my life.

I used the Little Boy Blue collection from Crate Paper that you can find in the The Speedy Scrappers store, along with a sketch from Nuts About sketches.

I cut the yellow chevron pattern out to add bits under my photo and also tore a circle from it to add to the top of my layout. Then I added a border strip sticker and a little bit of washi tape over the top of that.

I really like the look of the different blue pattern papers layered on top of each other. This darker blue had a strong pattern, but when you use it in pieces over the other pattern it works really well.

Pick up this Crate Paper line in the store and then come share with us on the facebook page. We'd love to see what you create!!

Here is my project for you today:

This is my family at a Baseball game last summer. We are pretty big sports people around my house. More in that we're busy playing, but we do like to go to a game now and then. That's why I figured this At the Ballpark line would be perfect for my hop project.

My style is pages. lol Really I just prefer making pages over almost any other kind of project. But I've noticed that I'm a big fan of using ink, distressing (w/ or w/o ink) and I love to fussy cut. So I added these techniques to my project.
I distressed my photos with an emery board and my paper by tearing it.

Then I added ink around my photos and the edges of my layout.

And finished up with some fun fussy cut balls and my title along with the batter.

I'm the last stop on the hop, but don't forget to go back to the Moxxie blog and enter to win. The list of blogs, in case you missed any, and all the details are below. Good luck!

Best Wishes card

Hey there Speedy Scrappers!
I have a pretty card for you today that I made mostly with scraps.
Remember these previous projects?

Find the post for this here.
The post for this card here.

Using scraps from both of these projects I came up with this:

The card base is the leftover piece from the inside of the layout frame. I trimmed it to 8x8 before folding it for this card, then punched the corners and inked the edges. The border that the wording is sitting on is actually the barcode piece from the top of this paper. This particular line has a hole in the middle of it for the stores to hang the pad from, but I just used half of the strip so that didn't matter. I border punched it and inked it too.

Then I cut a circle out of a piece of this pretty pattern leftover from the cards I made. Then I just tore the circle around in a spiral, layered them back in on themselves and smooshed them flat. The layers slid a bit to one side so I just fussed with it until I liked the look then put a few glue dots under it here and there to hold everything in place.
Finish up with some buttons and banners and you've got yourself a nice gift card.
Find these fun bright papers from Studio Calico in the Speedy Scrappers store.

Come share your projects with us on the facebook page!
Thanks,
Ange

4H Camp Buddies

Hey, how was your weekend? Mine seem to go faster and faster. Not sure how that is exactly when they're already speeding by.
Today I have a really pretty friends layout using the Wanderlust line from Studio Calico. It is SO awesome! I swear there is not a single paper in this line I don't love.

Awesome right? I can't tell you how much I love these colors and papers! So fun!! And perfect for this photo of my daughter and her friends posing for a photo before heading off to camp last summer.

I started with a sketch from Nuts About Sketches and framed the polka-dot paper with the fun yellow and white pp. I used black ink on my edges to really help the patterns stand out against each other.

Then I found a big bold alpha to use for my title and edged the letters in black also.

After that it was all about embellishing and journaling. I tend to forget an area for journaling when doing my own layouts, so it's handy to have a sketch now and then make a spot for me. This fun black and clear washi tape I added was a cool touch.

I got this awesome line from Speedy Scrappers.
Happy Scrappin'

Ragnar 2013 w/Moxxie

I have an awesome Moxxie layout for you today, but before we start I want to remind you that we're starting the NEW design team over at the Moxxie blog!!! You are going to want to visit each day to see their awesome inspiration!

Do you have any races in your near future? This line is perfect for documenting those big accomplishments.

My husband had so much fun with the group he ran with and was so proud of himself for doing this race. It was a huge accomplishment and one I'm not sure I'll ever do, since I'm against running. lol

I loved how the white pen looked against the dark colors of the papers and just had a bit of fun adding some doodles.

This line has such great color and works so well with any color you might have in your photos. I picked out the orange of my husband's medal to highlight on my layout.

Then I just spruced it right up with all the cool die-cuts! They are awesome!!
Find this line at your local scrapbook store or at scrapbook.com and have fun recording your next big accomplishment!!
