Crazy for you!

My layout today is all about my sweet little man. I have to tell you I totally miss those cute little curls! He's such an entertaining little guy. Quite a bit of trouble, but so much fun.
I used this week's NAS sketch for this layout and Carta Bella's Rough & Tumble collection.

I wanted to use this Crazy for You cut out for my title so I did the title area a bit different from the sketch. I loved layering all these fun papers. The ticket pp was super easy to cut out and use as a strip of tickets. Love it!

I sprayed my background a little to get it nice and "dirty", layered some stickers and finished up with a bit of doodling around the border.

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love for you to become a follower of my blog. Thanks! :)Ange

Love it! with a NAS sketch

Honestly, really love watching volleyball and playing. But it is so much fun to watch my daughter play and grow in this fun sport. Not to mention her teammates that I've been able to watch learn and grow right along with her. These are such fun times spent together with friends.
I used this week's NAS layout #284 for this layout:

You can find the sketch here. I also used my most recent Scraptastic club kit. I picked out this grid pp because it reminded me of the net and then for the title area I used white duct tape to resemble the tape on the volleyball net. I think it turned out awesome and I'm so glad I thought to go that route and that my daughter offered her duct tape when I mentioned out loud that I wished I had white washi tape.
I purposely wrinkled the duct tape as I laid it across the layout, to resemble the net more accurately.

The 'amazing' banner piece came in the kit, but then I added some glossy accents to the letters, let it dry, then inked over it with blue so you can see the Amazing better.

This volleyball was actually an extra I had after making locker decor this year. Never hurts to make a few extra pieces right?

So Happy @ 3 with DCWV

Hey there! I've got a fun lo using the awesome papers from the Birthday Wishes stack by DCWV that I picked up from the Scrapbook USA Expo. Let me tell you, this stack is AWESOME!!! Here's my layout:

That rockin' banner? Yep, already ON the paper. I just cut around some of the banners and popped them out a little. And they were all cuted up with glitter! Love that!!

The polaroid? Yep, already there. I just added my photo with pop dots to give it some fun dimension. I made the little party hat from a scrap of the green chevron paper by cutting a triangle with a bit of a rounded bottom. I just eyed it. Then I folded some twine until it was a thickness I liked, tied a piece around it and cut the loops for the pompom on top.

I love inking, so I will do it anytime with any color! You can see my patterned paper layers here (LOVE this stack!) with inked edges, the flag made with a bit of washi and toothpick, and the hidden journaling tag popping out behind the photo.

I really just went all out embellishing this layout. It's a party one after all. :) Funny thing that happened: I was super excited to do this and use up all those # thickers that I don't normally use, but I did not have very many 3's, which I thought was really odd, until I did the "thr33" & I didn't have any E's so I went looking for, yep 3's. lol
I love making my titles pop by adding faux stitching with markers. So far I've had the best luck with foam thickers which are my favorite kind anyway. The candles are exclamation points turned upside-down, the black dots around the washi tape 3 are glitter thickers. Go ahead and use up all those .'s

I had so much fun making this layout. Go ahead and get this party stack, Birthday Wishes, from DCWV and just go all out. It will be fun!! :)Ange

Volleyball locker decor & treats

Lately a lot of my evenings are spent watching this sweet girl play volleyball and I love every minute of it. She is doing awesome!

Along with the fun of watching them play comes the fun of decorating lockers and sending little treats along to brighten a bus ride. So I have a couple pictures of simple things I've made this season.

I used my Silhouette to help me make my locker decor. I did a quick search of the silhouette store and purchased a volleyball cut and some borders. I used both on my locker tag below:

I kept it simple and quick. My daughter has told me how quickly these things get torn off of lockers, plus when you're making enough for the whole team quick is the way to go. I found this quote on the internet and altered it just a little to make it more team specific, used our school colors and my daughter's jersey #. I did each girl's # on their card and just used a font from my computer and cut them with my silhouette.

They had a long bus ride that same week so I bought a few treats to put in a bag and made up a really quick "recipe" for a great game. Here's the finished product:

"Play Hard" is a Teresa Collins stamp I recently won from Paper Crafter's Corner. I've used it quite a bit already along with some of the other stamps in the set. Really loving it!
To get the "recipe" printed on the recipe cards I just printed on a regular 8.5x11 paper and then taped the cards over the printing and ran it through my printer again. I was able to print 3 at a time this way. The card reads:
The recipe for an awesome game!
Contents inside.
(Play Hard stamp)
Mix together, sprinkle with confidence and enjoy a great game!

And this is what was inside:

Package of crackers w/ cheese - Label: Crisp serves
Bag of Swedish fish - Label: Perfect passes
Mini charleston chews - Label: Sweet sets
Slim jim - Label: Hard hits

It's fun to make these little things for the girls and I think they really enjoy the treats. lol

Two layouts on Monday

I have two layout for you today. So let's get started. First I have today's NAS layout using Moxxie's Happy Camper and Fish Stories lines. Here's the layout:

My daughter got a couple of her friends together after they finished 8th grade and burned all their homework as a way of saying goodbye to Jr High and hello to High School. It was a lot of fun for them and I really enjoyed hearing them tell their stories. She may have just started a tradition for our family.
You can see the sketch and more examples on the Nuts blog here.

I also have a layout using the new Magical Moments line from Moxxie:

I kept this layout simple so it didn't overwhelm the photo. I love the way the white space makes the photo the star of the layout, but I still have some really fun elements here from this great line. You can find more details on the Moxxie blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. :)Ange

Tuckered Out!

Are you ready for the latest Nuts sketch? Shawn is nearing 300! I can't believe all the awesome sketches I've been able to enjoy!! This week is sketch #282:

I decided to work with my latest Scraptastic club kit for this layout and this cute photo of my little guy taking a much needed nap. He is not a good sleeper, so we often get to the stage where he is getting in trouble when he finally takes a break and naps a bit.

As usual I changed the sketch a bit here and there to meet my needs. I only had one photo, but it worked great in the same space as the 2 from the sketch. Here's a few detail photos:

Love this fun star washi tape & these wood die-cuts were really fun!

I did my title a little different because I had the extra photo space. I really like how it turned out.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget you can see more takes on this sketch at the Nuts About Sketches blog.

At the Ballpark with Moxxie

Have you been following along this week over at the Moxxie blog? All week long there's been awesome inspiration using this new line At the Ballpark

This is one of my favorites from this latest release!
Here is the layout I made using this awesome line:

I can't even tell you how awesome this line is and how fun it was working with it! I totally love these papers and stickers. They just give you that ballpark feel as you're working with them and I LOVE being at the ballpark. So fun!!
My son loved playing catcher this season and I have to say I more than enjoyed taking photos of him. Especially since my new camera and longer lens came in time to get me some awesome shots!

Like I said I thoroughly enjoyed working with these papers and just added tons of details to my layout. The papers and cardstock stickers are fantastic and it's fun to add a little stamping, stitching and distressing too. Here are a few more  closeups:

I even used my silhouette to make a title with this awesome lined pp. Totally looks like baseball pants!
If you haven't been over to see what the other muses are sharing, you are missing out. Plus you can comment on the blog, on the Moxxie fb page and share about this new line to WIN it! Go check it out! :)Ange
